Apparently on the first night it was like a free for all. There was no system for sorting out bags, checking in (so people ran to tents and many didn’t get one because there wasn’t enough) and people hoarding stuff. It probably reminded them of the Cornucopia Bloodbath. 😂

The attendees were mostly, if not all, poor ppl looking for a cheap deal ($500-1,200 for 2 weeks in the Bahamas, all inclusive). The claims of expensive tickets were part of the marketing, and were never proven (ie no one bought them).

The problem is the fact that Fyre didn't give what they promised. They advertised it to be an amzing experience, which it clearly wasn't. It was a scam, a waste of people's time and money, and that's the real issue. Oh and also, what an idiot the guy that says he'll go to Fyre next year was. How can you be that delutional? There's so many better alternatives and festivals you can rely upon, which you should be able to. Fyre provided disasterous customer service, and a festival experience which no one in their right mind should ever support. It is basically the same as supporting the act of scamming.

The tickets was 500 bucks for a Bahamas concert. That's expensive but I could afford that. the 250,000 package is a different story. I feel bad for all those people bcuz they was trying to have an incredible experience. money doesn't matter to me. to each it's own. Average ticket was $12000. So it's not misleading but some people did get tickets for $500, apparently new than should have since they didn't take in nearly enough money to pay for the event.
I live in ft. Lauderdale.fl. a ferry boat to Bahamas is gonna cost me $200 alone. A $500 ticket for an all inclusive weekend is insanely cheap.

I remember reading a blog from a person who actually worked there he was in charge of making sure the bands were getting paid. In fact no one paid $12,000 for this the festival event was going between 500 to $1,200. Organizers cut back on expenses because it will cost them millions of dollars to do plus an event like this needed to be planned 2 years ahead they had six WEEKS!!! 2:00 AKA they weren't being paid for it. Shoot most of that money went to the promotions that's it

I'm from Jamaica. I can attest that the weather conditions have been crazy, there's been flooding in some areas because the heavy rains. I'm an event organizer and I would never ever do an event between the end of April to June. Guaranteed rainfalls!
Plus I don't contractors will bring out their expensive equipment in those weather conditions. Maybe lateness was an issue. The culture is to do things last minute, which is bad.

He really just fooled them all on a one to one personal level. Any one can have a vision and idea... (especially after taking a couple tokes...) just imagine that person got up and started making ads and video commercials about it... like my birthday is coming up in a few months and I said to my girl... I want to do it at the white house with 10s of thousands of people there (I have ZERO Friends) with all the celebs, the best caters serving shark and penguin sushi and then firework display for an hour while everyone parties to all the best bands/music artists!!! and she said OK, I'll design the invites because I'm a graphic designer and my friends a videographer and I've got some popular friends who can circulate this and I'll have it sent out by tomorrow.
