The CAPI has more high freq detail. The WA12 with the tone engaged sounded better than flat but that’s probably because distorted guitar with extra saturation sounds good. The Heritage sounds almost identical to the Warm. As a solo recording I liked the extra detail from the CAPI. I could see where a tamed high end might be more desirable though. Nice shootout. Thanks.
I thought the CAPI was far superior here. It's easy to roll off that kind of detail with a low pass later, but you really have to work hard to get it back in the mix. The CAPI just sounded more modern, refined, and detailed all around. Each have their place.
