Whenever I hear any of Sarah McLachlan’s songs, regardless of which one it is, whether it’s one of her Christmas songs or her original songs, it makes me think of “Toy Story 2”, where she sings When She Loved Me in Jessie’s flashback scene. When I first heard the Wintersong album, I never knew much about Sarah McLachlan until when I listened closely to her singing voice. That was the instant how I knew in my mind from out of nowhere that it was the singer from the flashback scene in Toy Story 2. I never knew much about her until I heard this album then looked her up and read that she was the singer who sang When She Loved Me in Toy Story 2

Funny story is even before knowing her 100%, I looked up the song "When She Loved Me" to see who the singer of that song was. After seeing who the singer was, the name never got stuck in my head except for one thing: Her birthday, which is January 28th, 1968. It was in the summer of 2009 when I first looked up the song and who she was but still I never was able to memorize her name. I only memorized her birthday because January 28th stood for an important memory that happened to me in 2009 on that exact date. It was the day I attended a Celine Dion concert in Tampa, FL as part of her Taking Chances Tour and in the concert, I gave her flowers and she gave me a hug by bending her head down from the edge of the stage where I was standing. I knew nothing of Sarah McLachlan at the time even before January 28th, 2009, but when Christmas 2009 came, my family and I would open presents while we play Christmas music on the CD player, and of course, we played Sarah's Wintersong album. When I heard her voice, it made me think that it was the singer who sang the Toy Story 2 song out of nowhere, so I relooked her up and it was the one whose birthday I had in my brain all along, that was January 28th, 1968, which on January 28th, 2009 was my memorable night attending a Celine concert where she hugged me and accepted the flowers I gave her, not knowing it was Sarah's 41st birthday.
