Could be a couple things. The gears are stripped or became loose inside the diff casing. If the driveshafts are turning then the wheel hex hubs are stripped.

I got really into the micro crawler scene I picked up a axial Scx24 and I fucking love it. I was wondering if you are ever gonna get one? I would like to see you do some mods or even maybe a micro crawler course???
