- Found on the net and totally devoid of anything helpful to me. I've loved Split Enz for a LONG time and don't know as much about Crowded House as I'd like to. Anyways, this is Fall At Your Feet, done Live at a Farewell concert. If anyone knows, I'll be happy to add to the post. I do have a Split Enz commercial VHS collection of Videos that I will post as soon as I learn to convert it to the appropriate files. I do have one more video from the same concert that I will upload.
I was at this gig. The most magical evening ever spent. I went not knowing any Crowded House Songs and left in love with all of them 😎

@@wellingtonaviationchannel634 not sure i believe he was there. Friends of mine in Sydney said it was impossible to get anywhere near that concert. Central Sydney was practically shut down. No way someone who didn't know Crowded House would have bothered. I call BS.

It's hard for me to watch this concert without getting emotional. Beautiful and special band. We miss you so much Paul.
I well up every time I watch/listen to this gig. It was such an emotional time of my life and I felt like all the songs fitted my feelings. I'd separated from my wife that very same month and I was in bits. I loved her so much but she didn't want me anymore.

Nick was probably the most underrated bass player of his generation. That guy knows how to play.
I used to cover this song with a friend. He sang it & introduced me to the song initially. Sadly I got news yesterday he passed away - great song to remember him by RIP John Hall Co. Durham

I have been a Crowded House fan for many years and I am just blown away by this song.
When a voice matches perfectly with the words sung it's magic...listen to his voice..you can feel the longing, the desire for more....it's brilliant.
Woodface is one of the absolute best in my vast collection of CDs. Fantastic album!

It took everything I owned at the time to get to this concert, I am glad I made it. What a memory of this moment, the locals where so kind to me and one family took me in for the brief moment I was there. I love this song, it has always had a "side" note in my heart for a person I loved years ago. She chose not to go with me and I had saved enough for both of us. Sad because the individual she stayed behind for was abusive and they did not last. I thought of her as I stood there listening to this song and hoped her journey she choose would fulfill her joy. Where has the time gone, no way to capture it, it just rolls along and accelerates as each day goes by. At least memories we can capture for all time

Absolutely amazing and beautiful, so melodic. This is the best live variant of this song. Why bands nowadays cannot write melodic songs, more cynical times I guess.

When I listen to Crowded house - and it's my new discovery - I feel sorry for so many years that I kind of missed them and missed other things... like become a singer my self. Good to get to know them now.

I'm lucky enough to be a professional musician. I'm even luckier to have ever even heard the name 'Neil Finn'. The man is not only the greatest songwriter I could imagine, but on stage, the man is pure gold. If there was one person in the history of music I could work with, it's Neil.
This is more than likely one of his greatest tunes; certainly one of my favs.
I miss these mates badly. It literally hurts my chest to watch Paul up there enjoying himself.
It happens to all of us. Tastes change as we mature. We find subtly in the emotions found from artist like Crowded house more appealing.
Of course, there's times when you want your brain turned to cottage cheese by some ass kicking metal. Thankfully that never goes away.
Sublime! The highlight of this amazing concert. They were on fire that night. The last two lines when he sings high blow me away every time.

I remember reading an interview once where Neil Finn claimed that Crowded House are an Australian band as they are based in Melbourne. Split Enz, on the other hand, were and always will be a NZ band.
The year is 1996, Sydney in Pre Olympics euphoria, The world before 9/11 , Crowded House Live on the Steps of the Opera House, almost 20 years ago....
and Crowded House to play at the Arias on November 23rd, almost exactly 20 years to the Day since this event

Great find. I remember this concert - I still have my shirt. The Opera House forecourt was crowded so much people were sitting all around Circular Quay listening. A night I will never forget.

The Farewell To The World gig was November 1996. I believe it is shortly being released on DVD. And yes, pdxkev, Neil Finn is probably THE best songwriter - just sublime.
