Ormond's first of five World Championships, so privileged to have been there. 1981, 1983, 1985 then 1996 and 1997. Sadly Ormond passed away on 11th October 2019. So proud of my big brother Ormond and all his achievements on the track.
Was there in the grandstands watching the racing all weekend, the best year of hot rod racing. This inspired me to buy what I have in my garage now, a Escort MK2 RS2000 ❤
The dawn of the starlet age i remember asking my dad what the funny looking car was..Little did we know..camping in the woods for the weekend..The good old days

Cracking racing from the golden era of Hot Rod racing
Remember watching Ormond and Dave Evans racing the bit out at Ballymena race way in northern Ireland when I was young child. What fun. RIP Dave Evans
Nigel Devine You were always guaranteed a good nights racing at Ballymena and maybe even a good argument or the occasional punch-up .....
