Jael, you are such a hard worker. I think you are going to indeed reclaim the land. Someone not interested in agriculture would not probably not fare well but I think you are going to make this property more valuable than you can imagine. 🙏🏾
Hi Jael great job trying out different plants to see what works & what doesn’t. If your land is not even you can create a natural pond by having small French drains that direct water to all meet at the pond for water harvesting for the dry season & you can then add ducks & they are good for your garden & don’t destroy like chickens but add value as keeping pesticides & weeds at bay. ❤all the best
What a great harvest of arrow roots, the Best feeling ever, i enjoyed learning about diffrent types of trees.. Happy that you can see with the experiment and know what plants trive in your land. Soo happy to witness your hard work praying off. More blessings jael ❤
Jael bonjour. Good luck with the building of your driveways. Yes Cypres trees are beautiful indeed. We have clay ground also, and our fruit trees grow nicely, if you want to know which trees I will tell you next time. I keep a journal of the dates we planted what. The Taro roots looked good.
@@jaelochanji On our clay ground we have Cherry trees, Apricots, Peaches, Figs, Apples, Pears, Prunes and Berries (blue berries, black berries, red berries), even tomatoes, paprika, watermelon and melon we have grown but don't anymore because when the weather is too dry they don't grow well and needs lots of watering.
Jael, one thing I have learnt over the years as a passionate nature lover is, when ur planting a tree seedling, n u remove all the soil from the roots with water, as in after taking the plastic off, u place it in a bucket or cup of water n all the soil comes off, the roots straighten n when u plant it it really takes a short period of time to blossom compared to the ones planted with compacted roots. U should try it.
Thank you for sharing this update, Jael. Yes, I do remember when you planted the tarro. Great to see the fruit of your hard work. Please keep hope alive and never give up. God bless the fruits of your labor and may he fulfill your dreams.🙏🙏✌✌
Thank you Jael for this video, especially during this rainy season. How sloppy is your land? Have you thought of digging a deep trench along the parcel to drain the water downstream? Are there any experts in the channel to help out? Can she bring soil from somewhere to raise up the entire ground? But also remember that water is a very valuable resource. How else can one harness and exploit this resource without just draining it away to waste?
I have a trench along the fence to drain the excess water. I intend to put up a fish pond somewhere in the property. Harvesting rain water will also reduce the flooding. I'm building a tank soon.
Hi Jael, thanks for sharing another wonderful video. How nice are those arrow roots, enjoy some for me I love arrow roots, iwe ni ya kushemusha, fried or roasted, I just love them. Be blessed dear ❤😊
Hi sis..Well, I feel so welcome to your channel. Even more so, with this vid. Me too, I love trees and all they do for us and the world. I enjoy seeing trees planted. After all, we are people of the Earth. Wonderful to have trees, we could use more! Thank you so "very" much!!! 😇
Hi sis congratulations to all the success in your home karibu sana. I am very happy for you and I thank GOD ALMIGHTY for providing the resources. Thank GOD for your life because you are very blessed.
Hello, I know willows grow near water and just did quick research and indeed willows help with swampy land by breaking up the clay underneath and drawing water deeper. Try it! Willows are also beautiful. Apparently some grasses do the same. I googled 'what plants to grow to improve swampy land'
Have you considered digging/building a dam. And then cut the drainage to it. Then you will never lack water, and then you can raise fish. Amd then thank me later.😂
Blessings Jael🥰. Please be encouraged! I think you are doing a fantastic job with what you have to work with. I pray God continues to send those across your path who will continuously give you a helping hand. It’s wonderful to have a knowledgeable big sis to give you advice and a helping hand. I believe one of your end results awards will be “this is what happens when you take what is considered nothing and make something of it!!!” Your homestead is already looking so much better than it did after the fire! The arrowroot and banana trees are looking great! Continue to move forward with your vision as blessings overtake you on all sides. Mungu akubariki! 💜🥰🙏🏾👏🏾🫶🏾🙋🏾♀️

So refreshing, you can consider digging a water pan if the space allows then use the water during dry season for your garden
Oh,this is a good idea. Thank you.
Jael you are rich in so many ways. What a lovely garden

Jael why don't you grow the trees around the four corners of your fencing, except where you have constructed your house.
Yes,dear. There are so many trees along the fences, only that they're still young and may not be visible in the video.

@@jaelochanji seen and saw it at the end ,kudos dear
Pine is good, only that it does not allow other things to grow around it.
Oh yes. It takes up all the water and nutrients.
Longtime❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for checking in. ❤️
Make some swales and divert water .
Sure. Thanks
So blue gum trees are best for absorbing water? Like in a swampy area? Do their leaves fall off often?
Yes,they're good for waterlogged soils. The leaves fall off in the dry season.
You receive so much love but the love birds hate you.
😅😅😅
try plantain also
Sure. I'm trying to find the seedlings. They're not common here.
