Arianna Powell - absolute obsession for the past few years, Jimi Hendrix & John Frusciante - reasons I picked up electric guitar, James Bay, Elliot Smith, Hozier - how I’d play if I could actually sing, and currently Sophie Veie my new Arianna Powell. Have to mention Chet Atkins as a throwback to my long gone finger style days on classical guitar.
@ ok. Guess I’m more confused than before. I thought maybe you liked that style of jazz that makes no sense to some of us. I think you could benefit from a guitar teacher giving you a good practice routine and embracing a traditional way of learning scales, shapes, and positions. Your unique method is not serving you if you’ve been playing 10 or 20 years. Your soloing sounds kind of like elevator music at best. I only harshly critique like this because of your video claiming you’re ’really good at solo improvisation’. I think you’ve surrounded yourself with too many people that probably get pretty excited when their kids get a participation trophy. It feels good to get a pat on the back sometimes, but I know for myself, critical feedback helps me level up and grow. Hope you don’t take offense.
@@Aspecto5No need to be confused, it’s just music, listen to it and enjoy it, or don’t. It’s very good of you to worry about my progress, but you needn’t, I’m all good, just enjoying life and playing music in a way that I enjoy. Take care.
@@MissJennyGuitar What an jerk! You sound great keep rockin. I think he's just talking down because he's afraid of the competition, clearly he hasn't found out music is a unifying sport :p
