When the little boy gave his fish and bread, he gave it spontaneously.
We should also be ready to give whenever the time calls for us to give.
The new testaments tells us clearly how to give, and it has nothing to do with 10%.
Tithing is of the law.
God gave freely, not a percentage.

For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,
AS EMERSON Eggerich states in the book, " Love and Respect " states that women love naturally and nuture naturally; that is why in Scripture, women are not commanded to love but to respect; because they are good at loving; but respect is not what they are good at; Men are told to love their wife; because the do NOT do that naturally, have a nice day!
