    DUDE after MANY years of following this channel, from 10 or so years ago, watched every update on the jet, and hearing it finally go up in pitch without the starter was quite the joy! After a decade the mad lads actually did it!

    Finally, verfolge dieses Projekt schon von Anfang an. Vom aller ersten Testrun der ersten Revision. Und jetzt endlich, nach 11 Jahren läuft das Ding haha, Nice Work !!!!!

    Congratulations on your progress! I've been keeping up with this project ever since I found it during my time as an engineering student. It's been inspiring watching you never give up and always trying to find ways to improve.

    Its really good to see this project alive. This one was actually my teenage passion and I really wanted to see you guys make a self running jet engine and somehow it showed up on my main feed! Now im in mid-20's but still this one lits up a flame in my mind. Thanks for the great contents

    Congrats guys! No feeling better than hearing it pitch up in RPM on it's own!

    Great to see you've finally made it!

    Saubere Arbeit! Anscheinend muss man noch an einer konstanten Treibstoffzufuhr arbeiten.

      Das denke ich mir auch. Frag mich nur die ganze zeit warum sie nicht eine 5 oder 11kg gasflasche nehmen

    Outstanding work man... Upgrade to an electric fuel pump with a pressure / flow regulator. that will help tremendously.

    Well done! Definitely self-sustaining. Now you know how much fuel these things need, even to start up. My impression is that the flame is a little unstable, but very well done.

    Well done! I'm so proud of your tenacity to keep going! Is this the original turbine wheel you used years ago?

    Well done, so nice to see!! But you need to inject kerosene or a1 jet fuel! Then you get proper power!

    Gut gemacht, so schön anzusehen!! Aber Sie müssen Kerosin oder A1-Flugzeugtreibstoff einspritzen! Dann erhalten Sie die richtige Leistung! Das Gas ist nur zum aufheizen.Glaub doch dem Michael.

    Sounds like the RPM was dropping slowly everytime you removed the motor - I say no self-sustain yet

    • @squidheist6897
      @squidheist6897 2 месяца назад

      why this is happening??

    • @smad333
      @smad333 2 месяца назад +2

      @@squidheist6897 Sounds like the starter RPM is good so I would say design issue or not enough fuel flow or pressure. Those small tanks have to go

    • @gundamnitpete

      The run at 04:27 was self sustaining, the RPM was dropping but that's because his little gas canister couldn't produce enough gas.
      He just needs a larger gas supply, or a pump/liquid fuel. You can actually see that he's got the fuel canister turned upside down, to try to deliver more fuel to the engine. One thing you can do to maintain fuel pressure is place the gas canister in lukewarm water(NEVER hot water!). Using the gas naturally cools the canister and reduces fuel pressure, so the lukewarm water will help keep the canister pressure up.
      These little guys can be surprisingly gas hungry especially with fresh bearings. Fresh bearings are a little draggy, they'll reduce in friction over the next couple runs, and the engine will require a little less fuel to self sustain.

    So ganz kann ich die Experimentiererei hier nicht verstehen. Das haben Jungs wie Kurt Schreckling und Thomas Kamps schon vor über 20 Jahren gemacht und es gibt gute Literatur inkl. Auslegungsberechnung und Tips und Baupläne zum Eigenbau. Ebenso wäre doch eine Turbine auf Basis der UT160 von Ulricht Thiel eine Gute Alternative gewesen. Hier hat man schon mal eine Auslegung die prinzipiell funktioniert und man kann seinen Fokus auf Optimierung und Verbesserung legen.
