I was at Elimination Chamber and in my 30 years of watching wrestling I can honestly say I have NEVER heard a wrestler get heat like Dom did. Never heard anything like it.
Damn bro. Roxanne Perez is 8 months younger than me. It's really crazy to think that there are people in the WWE my age or younger. I really am getting old XD
Rhea, Bron and Bate are 3-4 years younger than me and I feel old seeing what they’ve done. Then I see Roxanne and Thea and feel like I aged an extra 30 years.
I think Julia Hart deserves to be in the list, somehow. Her improvement over the last year has been incredible. Turning heel and aligning herself with House of Black was unpredicted, but it did her good. Talking about Julia Hart, Skye Blue has improved well also. And Billie Starkz also, she's incredibly talented for a 19 years old. Her storyline with Athena on ROH was one of the most engaging storylines in ROH. Also, the next one is 30 years old and 6 days as of the day I leave this comment, if you were making the video weeks prior, Giulia is definitely on the list.
Bron is obviously number one right now but I feel like Austin Theory will surpass him once he finds a character that clicks with the audience. Trick Williams has the most "box-office" potential out of them all though but he needs to cook in NXT a little bit longer.
Konosuke Takeshita has been one of my favorite wrestlers in recent years. I've loved watching all of his matches. The language barrier is the primary thing that had me worried about him being a main event player, but AEW were geniuses to pair him with Don Callis.
i see him being able to reinvent himself to stay relevant for a while plus whenever he gets to being older thats when the another mega heel run can start so he can put over someone new
She should have been on here. I know her injury problem is slowing her down, but Cora made the list. Not going to knock anyone over injuries. They happen, you try to bounce back and get back out there. Lyons was the hot pick last year for everyone, so I don't know why she isn't here. Also I know people don't watch or like AEW, but Skye Blue is on the rise.
Although I have no doubt that Rhea Ripley will continue to dominate the women’s division for years to come I do feel Dominick’s role has been diminishing a little bit since losing the North American title I kinda feel that 2024 won’t have the same amount of success for him as 2023 did But that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t have a future, he just needs to further develop his character more
Momo Watanabe and AZM from Stardom are worthy contenders too. Both still in their early 20's and have ten years experience each under their belts. AZM was in a triple threat match against Mercedes Mone last year on a NJPW show.
@johnpepper8508 I was gonna say SLK as well. I just wish they would do something big with her. Be it Cinderella or White Belt. She's still young enough to get there but I hope they don't let it slip. Hanan I would also say who is absolutely a future star about to take that Mayu role potentially in a couple years.
So many missed out for being just on the wrong side of 30: Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, Giulia, Willow Nightingale, Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov and of course Billy GOAT: Will Ospreay. Also should have included the likes of Dante Martin (22), Julia Hart (22), Skye Blue (24), Nick Wayne (18), Kyle Fletcher (25), Riho (26) etc. The future of wrestling is bright!!
@ WRESTLE WITH ANDY have you ever thought about a top ten-list for the best characters to be used as yard sticks. Like Dean Malenko, Sean Waltman (X-pac) and so on. Guys and Gals the company used to determine if a character was ready to move up the card.
Giving a shout out to Kidd Bandit (who's currently 28) who had some indie classic bouts against the likes of Johnny TV, JTG, and Commander Stephanie Sterling. She's also appeared in a few episodes of AEW Dark.
I haven’t seen her ignoring that much, but instantly Roxanne Perez reminds me a lot of Sasha Banks, and that she started from a very young age and is a total package. She definitely has a very bright future.
Tiffany stratton is someone who can become the face of WWE in the near future she has everything She's excited in the ring, she ozzes chrisma, has a great look that appeals to young fans, has a character that connects with the audience, and you don't have to worry about her causing any controversy outside of wrestling. Her look honestly reminds me of a female John Cena. Seriously, if you told me she was John Cena's daughter, I would believe you. Even her catchphrase Tiffy Time sounds coincidentally similar to my time is now.
It's great to see so many in this list being Womens wrestlers. Such an overlooked division for years, great ti see it finally getting the recognition it deserves
This is why I love NXT, either they built guys/gals from scratch(no prior exp) or developed more familiar stars(from other promotions). Good to see a bunch of new gen soon to be vets.
Bron Breaker is definitely going to be huge. Tiffany Stratton I think is going to be too. I've definitely noticed Bron is good mix of his father and uncle.
Which is especially impressive considering I remember during the PG Era there was a lot of concern about not being able to build new stars. There was some frustrating time, but looks like the performance center and NXT is paying serious dividends.
The future looks bright. It's amazing watching now so many bright talents actually being grown and build for the future. Excited to see what they can bring in the future. Cause it felt like for the last 10-15 years they've just been returning to the same 10 people. And when those stars got older the product was really bad cause the younger talents who were around lack the experience or caliber to help carry the brand and the division.
Deonna is also still only 29 and Nikkita is 24. I won't say which ones, but def would have included them both over a couple of the other women here. Sadly Gigi (26) is getting buried right now in my opinion, but Jacy Jayne's character work is thru the roof at only 27. Thea is 20 and def has the "look" that WWE chooses to push more often than not.
Rhea ripley is 27 years old..... I am currently 25 yrs old!!! WE ARE 2 YRS APART from EACH OTHER!!!! Granted, Rhea is born in October in 1996, My birthday is in October 1998. 2 yrs apart. THATS CRAZY
Wrestle with Andy, I'm not sure if you have done a video on this, but can you perhaps do a video on wrestlers under 30 who never reached their full potential like Velveteen Dream
Solo - the new rukishi Ryea Ripley - the new Chyna Dominik Mysterio- the new Eddie Guerrero Liv Morgan - the new Trish stratus Joe gacy - the new Bray white Mjf - the new Miz Pretty deadly - the new edge and Christian DIY - the new midnight rockers
It would be a VERY bad idea letting Rhea hold a men's title. After the Tessa Blanchard as IMPACT/TNA WHC a few years ago.. it would be a superbly bad idea.
Roxanne perez is really THE FUTURE. She is amazing in the ring she has it all. She took asuka to the limit in her 1st year on NXT, her major push was worth it because shes an amazing talent. I see her being womens world champion one day
Is it just me or does anyone else see Austin Theory as like a younger “modern day” Mike The Miz. Never anyone’s favorite wrestler just always a solid heel and a solid work. Seems to have also stayed pretty healthy throughout the years like The Miz.
75% of these wrestlers unfortunately won't be relevant in the next 5-6 years.. It's just how the business goes.. Don't believe me? Dominic Mysterio is also going to be a main event guy, If Bron Breakker is your future "1A" then "1B" will be Dirty Dom.. Rhea Ripley is another talent that is already making a massive impact in the present, she's already the top women's wrestler in WWE/the business in general.. I expect her to EVENTUALLY reach the status of a Trish Stratus, Lita or Chyna.. She's that good.. OBA FEMI and Powerhouse Hobbs are my dark horses. They are super powerhouses who once they get the right character, their careers will sky rocket, and honestly, sky is the limit for them. Will they ever be the faces of a company? I'm not sure, possibly no, but I can see them having a Batista like run.. Where they are a #2 or #3 top talent of whatever company they are in.. William Regals kid will have a pretty solid career as well, I can see him being an upper mid card for years to come. Jordyn Grace, she has everything it takes to be great in wrestling, she already has established herself as a top talent in TNA, I expect her to be in WWE in the next few years.. She can make an impact and become one of the top women wrestlers of this decade I feel easily.. Austin Theory, I still have high hopes that he will eventually maybe be on the same level as a John Cena one day, only time will tell. Him, along with Bron Breakker and Dom Mysterio will probably be running the show sooner than later. And lastly, *Jade Cargill*. Which surprisingly wasn't mentioned, probably has the most potential for a women's wrestler I've seen in probably 20+ Years.. I can see her being maybe the G.O.A.T and even surpassing Rhea Ripley, she needs to develop in the ring, mic, and work on her character a bit though, but the potential is there. So I'll leave an asterisk by her name for now.. All in all, this video seems to imply work rate will dictate who will be the future, that simply just isn't ever true.. Granted, this generation, mainly the marks, are obsessed with in ring ability, and while you have to be competent in the ring, it's not the deciding factor of a wrestlers potential. -It factor -look -marketability -drawing power (can u make the company money) -presence -can you break into the mainstream? -can you bring in new viewership? Those are the deciding factors. And everyone I listed checks all the boxes, or most, or at the very least will more than likely eventually check all the boxes. If you read all thru this, leave a like, thank you :)
