- With 37° air temperature it was the hottest day I've ever spent in a racecar on the Nordschleife. Hard conditions not only for the TPS-Performance BMW M2 Competition (~520 HP, 1560 KG, Michelin semislicks) which performed quite well without any failures the whole day but also for me as the driver. Nevertheless we managed to put down a 7:12 min BTG with a bit of traffic. Looking forward to the next laps.. :-)

BMW M2C with a stage1 tuning is the perfect machine. 520 hp out put is just so so perfect. Respect for s55.
AMG V8 sounds good when driving around town at low speed but i prefer the sound of M cars screaming like this when being driven hard. Sounds so good!!!

It’s the front end that caught my attention. This thing really gets turned In, dare I say this has an evidently better front end than a gt3!

Sehr geil dass der active Sound im Innenraum ausgeschaltet. So klingt das Auto Innen einfach genauso wie außen. Finde ich sehr angenehm. Und Alex am Steurr ist sowieso sehr spektakulär :D

Great driving. Smooth, confident. Hate to see you without a HANS device, though. You have harnesses and the helmet mounting posts. No excuse not to use one, especially at those speeds on that circuit.
Many generations managed just fine without before nanny state. Plus a car has more crumple zone than open single seaters for which a Hans device was invented.
nes suno - I respectfully disagree. Crumple zones will do very little to offset the forces on your head and neck when you smack a wall or barrier at 100+ mph. That’s exactly how Dale Earnhardt was killed at Daytona in 2001 in a large NASCAR stock car with plenty of crumple zones-a basilar skull fracture caused by his head continuing violently forward while his torso stopped from the impact. That tragedy probably more than anything raised awareness of the necessity of the HANS device and similar systems. As for the nanny state, I agree with you as far as everyday driving goes. I think the increasingly common radar-based automatic braking systems, lane-departure warning systems, etc., are encouraging poorer driving habits on the road. People feel safer to pay even less attention to actual driving. They talk on the phone, send texts, read emails, and fiddle with their infotainment systems, confident that their car will warn them when they are headed for trouble.
@@AutoPilotgogogo you forgot those that also eat while driving (I saw someone scooping icecream), shave or apply make-up. Better technology, dumber drivers!

Wow, 7.12 for M2C in Nurburgring is very fast. Rank top 15 street car. Could you please tell us what modified you have done? I'm so curious as I'm upgrading my M2C quite a lot with m performance parts. Mine has 530 HP.

Quite impressive for a bmw. Even faster than the Bignum supra. I would love to see a three way battle with these two and Francesco Thor Nelson GTR Nismo even though the GTR Nismo is factory stock.

Hi Alex, really, 7.12 is a very fast lap there. Maybe you can get faster lap time if there was no other cars that time. Anyway, your M2C mods is very2 similar to mine, only I have not change my suspension yet. I wonder if you modifiy your M2C a little bit more, like change the hood, roof and trunk to carbon etc, you could get around 7 minute flat :) go break your lap record sir, we are waiting to see the vid.
