I enjoy reviews for MPVs. I mean if not for the budget constraints I would just go for a large size SUV, but because of practicality and MPV's compact size I still like them.
Xpander is also a good choice, especially if the owner wants to add aftermarket accessories, it's easily the more customizable among the MPVs I think, aside from Avanza or Innova (or are they SUVs?). Space is good and a lot of pockets for the front passengers. I do respect the features they have as well.

How's the Aircon system? The steering wheel movement at rough roads? Why 4 speed AT only not 5 or 6 speed?

If I may share my thoughts, I think the aircon is good, since there is a speculation that they share the same tech to Nissan, they are under one group.
Hmm I did not do the test drive because I was looking for a CVT for better shifting and fuel efficiency (and more gears), this MPV has been the best selling MPV for sometime so I assume steering is good. But, if you mean off-road, I would not recommend an MPV for that, better get an SUV like a base model Montero just add a few hundred thousands but you get the assurance of better off-roading, right?
Also, I considered same price range pickup trucks like GWM Canon and Foton Thunder for off-roading. It’s not just practical for city driving lol
