The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander GLS has been given a heavy refresh in anticipation of the arrival of the all-new Toyota Avanza, the Hyundai Stargazer, The Nissan Livina, and the Honda BRV. In this Filipino car review, we take a look at the changes made to the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander GLS to see if it is enough to compete with the newer next-gen contenders.
The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander GLS is the top-spec Xpander in the Philippines, and it has now gained several key upgrades to help it meet the newer competition. The mechanicals of the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander GLS may still be the same, but these are proven mechanical bits that are appreciated by Mitsubishi Xpander fans out there. The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander GLS in this video also has the optional accessories from the dealership, which makes this 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander GLS look like a junior Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

i own the 2023 xpander gls and so far i have no complaints except the uphill being a fwd vehicle but the rest are all good. masarap ang mivec sa isang 4-speed at, smooth at mabilis ang arangkada kumpara sa 2018 avanza ko on highways.
The wig is a nice touch. I enjoyed that hammy intro 🤣😂

"New" doesn't necessarily mean "All-New"
This is technically new, and there's nothing wrong with that. But not something "all-new".
Edit: great review as a whole. Like how the 4AT was given credit for being more than enough yet more ideal for long-term use esp maintenance-wise and how the performance of the vehicle is already one of the best, if not the best already in the segment. Ride feel depends on one's preference but isn't really wallowy for me the last time I rode and drove one.
And as for the other comment here, not really having any problems with the dude pareh lines.. which probably is because of getting used to friends from DLSU/Ateneo/San Beda and the like.. not annoying to me at least lol.

If the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is ready to arrive here next year, it will be the first variant of the Xpander lineup that gets Mitsubishi's INVECS-III CVT.

Xpander for me
in fairness sa pinas, dito sikat pa rin talaga mitsu at tinatangkilik pa rin. coming from a mitsu fan (lancer singkit, adventure (nasa akin pa rin) and xpander (na binenta ko agad dahil sa fuel pump issues)), wala na yung touch ng mitsubishi di tulad noon.
nice review though. kung may budget, still eyeing br-v or rush (just because it's rwd and a toyota)

Don’t buy for this xpander and makes you terrible because of many malfunction same with our xpander. All xpander 2019-2020 have a recall same with montero!! Take care guys!! Real talk.. we have pending case to settle our car with Mitsubishi Motors company.. be wise guys

That 4 Speed A/T must be phased out and should replaced by a CVT.
yes but well the 4-speed A/T is more reliable than a CVT.
That same 4speed automatic happened to be the one found in the best seller mpv.. so why should it be phased out??
