    Great video as always Ben. I appreciate the tips. Also, please consider making a video on tips on take offs and landings. And have someone record you doing it or set up a tripod. Much appreciated.

      @@ParamotorNC Most definitely people would love that.. the more tips that are out there.. the better. Also, would be nice if you can slow down some of the take offs and landings and do almost like a play by play where you talk over the slowed down video and tell us what we should be doing at that exact moment.. Appreciate it man.

    awesome man :) love it so much! I got licensed last week (germany) and i fly a Advnace Alpha 7 24 (70kg bodyweight) and a Atom80. I really love it but I already feel way too slow :( I am not sure if I should get the "hybrid" trimmers for the alpha 7 (its 200 bucks) or if I shoulld get a dedicated Paramotor wing... I am a newby (I made my paraglding license last year as well, but I did never fly in termals and have not much experience).....what wings would you probably reccomend for me? (and also what wing after my next one would be a good option...BGD luna 2 is what i got reccomended already a few times...

    • @ParamotorNC

      Excellent comment. I will share here and I will also make a note in the video description. There are 2 groups on Facebook that have become the de facto Paramotor online forums. The group names are 'Paramotor' and 'Paramotor for Beginners'. If you are not on Facebook, you can look on Reddit for similar forums / discussions.

    Great footage, 360 camera amazes, at 11:29 you talked about rotor, 12:57 you are talking about trim, can you explain how to avoid, handle rotor, turbulence, trim from beginners (just 30 flights) viewpoint. are public LZs listed on any website? understand no need to list private, exclusive ones.

    • @ParamotorNC
      @ParamotorNC  Год назад

      Hi, when the wind moves over an obstacle like a line of trees, a building, or mountain top, the air will become disturbed and turbulent. The stronger the wind, the more rotor and turbulence. Just approach obstacles with caution on the lee side of the wind flow. Or avoid obstacles in strong conditions.

    I live near allot of water and will be flying over allot of swamps and the Altamaha river that has a strong current. Are there specific floats made for paramitors? In the summer my best emergency landing would be on a sand bar or a hay field . I will have some boat support initially.

    • @ParamotorNC
      @ParamotorNC  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, there are floats made specifically for paramotors. Search for powerfloat. It is best to fly with a landable option within glide distance.

    can you tell me about your helmet? I am trying desperately to find a helmet with Bluetooth, so I can entertain myself on long flights as well as hear gaggle info.

    • @ParamotorNC

      I just bought a bicycle helmet and tacked on 3M bluetooth enabled ear cups. You could probably buy something better from one of the schools like aviator. But I have linked my components here;

    Hey, do you know anyone in the Wilson area that can teach me how to fold my wing? No flyingvor anything, I'm just trying to get started and the instructor is in Florida. I have a good wing but the last guy gave up and just balled it up in a big bag. I want to pull it out after all these storms pass by and make sure everything is good and use this wing for ground handling and learning how to fold it fir storage and to make it last as long as I possibly can. I have to get a ground handling harness when I get up with the instructor. If someone can help with the proper way to fold the wing it would be very helpful.

      If I were closer, I would show you myself. But one of the best ways to connect with the local flying community is to join the North Carolina powered paragliding group in Facebook. Out the exact same question out there for the group, and someone may be willing to give you a hand. You can also learn by watching some RUclips videos on the topic

      @ParamotorNC thanks, I appreciate it. I just had an old friend that died in a crash, George Hoffman, and it put a damper on my plans. Plus my family is now "concerned" , but I was a flight crew on a forest service aircraft... and I successfully survived a parachuting crash. I sort of stoked about learning to fly PPGs.

    Great video Ben! 🙌🪂
    One of my favorite things is to get third person video of my launches/landings. It helps me critique my form as I’m always trying to get a little bit better. With that being said, my second favorite thing is to record those type of videos for others and share them with them. It’s only my second favorite, because sometimes they couldn’t care less. But sometimes they appreciate it! 😆

    • @ParamotorNC
      @ParamotorNC  Год назад

      Agreed. Most times people love to see the video whether the launch / landing is good or bad... you can always learn something. But every once in a while the camera makes someone nervous.
