Thank you V much, I’ve been collecting these since the start in 2019.. lost my way with the more recent Series, and I’ve tried to keep it to Unrivaled only with a few exceptions
@retroHolder87 Yeah it's not easy keeping up in the UK. I uploaded a video recently of my collection. 4 figures away from 100%. Think I'm going to slow down this year though. Been thinking about collecting a full PAL PS1 set for a while, so might turn my attention to that.
That’s a great shout… I collected a lot of retro games & consoles last year, so wanna keep it toy/figure related if I can I 2024 and start completing toy lines 😅
Good vid m8, there's no way I would give CEX a game for 0.01 that's ludicrous, why didn't you sell them on ebay ? Any good vlog m8 and all the best for 2024 😊
Thank you v much, I know my inexperience showed there.. should’ve researched some more.. also space was needed lol “hindsight is wonderful thing” Thanks again, next vlog coming in the next few days 🤙🏼
I appreciate that, and I didn’t think was bad at all.. I didn’t have too many great titles in that lot it was more the space freed up and there were a few that I was only getting a penny for 🤦🏼♂️ Also those were a lot modern games than what I like to collect, show and video. Maybe the next one will have a better return 🤞🏼
I’d have definitely made a spread sheet and double checked all the prices beforehand. I would have separated the 1p tilted and tried to sell on marketplace as a job lot.
Hello 👋🏼 thanks for reaching out. I wish Pirates of Dark Water was that cheap I’d have 2 🤣🤣 I’ve ordered a Boxed w/manual which goes for a little more on the market
@@hacktheplanet. There seems to be an ever growing number of hoarders, in the UK you wouldn’t see much change from £350.. but the nostalgic value means so much more though
Some games are more expensive in the UK, but generally they are cheaper than the US. Not just for older 50hz games that run slower than their NTSC counterparts, but things like OG Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, etc. E.g. Outrun c2c is one of the most expensive UK OG xbox games but its £80 in CEX, and Futurama is £25 - US CIB both of those are like $200+
🤣🤣 Brilliant!! It was definitely a shock for a Monday, I was kind enough to pre warn them and which was a quiet day. It didn’t take that long only a couple of hours. But the looks I got stood in the queue were funny 😁 from the staff… they’ve all of a sudden become “busy” 🤣🤣
Wow no way!! 👏🏼 that’s a lovely little bonus… no cash from this lot when I checked them but I did find a Ps2 memory card & a Switch Game in an Xbox case (Fire Emblem) if I remember 🤣🤣
I would’ve checked the values on your games before trading. Those 1p titles are worth keeping just for the spare cases. You probably could’ve swapped some out for the more valuable games they rejected. Hope the game you’re after has the manual 😅😬
I used to work for CEX a long time ago and not that far from Reading. Some of them they didn't take. I get. Like the FIFA's and wrong region. However, the FIFA'S aren't too old. They don't take them because they've got too many of them and nobody wants old FIFA's. Those promo games you've got. That's not true because they do take them. I've seen them in a tonne of other stores. Just try another store. In my opinion, CEX when you trade stuff in software wise. Your at the mercy of the person behind the till because I've taken games and they said no. I've gone back a couple of weeks later. Saw someone else and they taken all of them.
Oh wow that’s awesome, defo a learning curve and an experience at the same time. Totally agree with the returns and the person serving you as it’s their opinion on what’s gets traded in. Totally understand the fifas, I thought it was amusing the excuse they said. Appreciate the feedback and support 🙏🏼 it’s great to hear other stories like yours Thank you
It makes me laugh that they charge over 50 quid for second hand ps4 controllers when tescos sell brand new ones for 50 😂😂the shop is an absolute joke 😮
Some of the prices I’ve seen are a bit all over the place.. which way to get rid of bulk lots that are unwanted, the good thing is you are able to find some gems in the shops as well.. rare, but a good to source at least 👍🏼
Appreciate the info.. this was a new experience for myself I wanted to share, and I wanted to clear space and see what 500 games would amount too.. yes nothing of major significance value wise, but it has presented the opportunity to own a game on my bucket list
Hindsight is a wonderful thing… I have been informed that sometime CEX reduce trade in Value towards Xmas time due to the large influx brought in… what do you think it should’ve been?
@@retroHolder87 you should off gone through a valuation of each game sold a good hand full on eBay Facebook also the ps4 pad you should sell as spare or repairs Cex will make around 200pound profit from your items mate
It’s all a learning experience, which I do hope to improve with you great advice dude 👍🏼 I have kept more sort after titles for this year and see what happens. Appreciate the support n help also 🤙🏼
@@retroHolder87 yh Cex are rob dog's to be fair probably better saving up for high end game's .watch this space all physical disc will be worth triple in the next five years as it will be cloud games only .that's the end of consoles mate
All that 1p goodness
I know, I know 😁 they have more space than me, of course those are from the bundle buys, I can imagine everyone owns those games. 😄
AEW Figures, Nice.

The space was another benefit as well to fill back up haha
Cashed all that in for an £80 game? impressive.

@@retroHolder87 Most copies in the US are between 80-100 with manual. The retro market in the UK is massively inflated due to hoarders.

Can just imagine the poor person that had to put all that in the system thinking going to be a nice slow day today then you walk in with 500 games.
