I love Sams dad George, love his witty banter with his reference to Ven-‘Ice’ seems it was pretty cold when you were there. Where can I get a hat like his. Also love his endless smile... he’s definitely a super dad!
You and Sam's parents did the same trip we did with my son in our first trip to Crostia, back in March 2004, in "those days" things were still a bit like in old Yugoslavia, the waiter at the restaurant in the Marco Polo ferry approached our table with a cigarette in his hand, and while blowing smoke thru his mouth asked us in Croatian what was our choice from the menu.Everibody in the dining room was smoking, although back in Australia waiters wouldn't do it. We just laughed among the smoke, my son said " its like Casa Blanca" ,the film. We had a cabin with bathroom and shower, similar to Sam's parents. Comming "back" to the Croatia my mother's parents left in 1901 and my father in 1925, the trip by ship and seeing Split " in reverse" from how they saw it for the last time a century befor, made it all have a deep atavistic meaning. Thank you, Audrey and Sam, for the wanderfull images and the happy memories.
Thank you for sharing that Dario! What a unique time to have been traveling that route. I sometimes long for those nostalgic trips as we've revisited places a few times and either we've changed or the place has and it just isn't the same.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos I definitely believe that, it's a amazing place. We are definitely going back to Split, we visited a bunch of places including Split and it was one of my favourite city's I've visited so next time we will go back there and then further nearer Slovenia and the coast line that way because out of Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro, which we all visited this time, Croatia was definitely my favourite. I love watching these video's from you guys.
We love you guys. And we love your mom and dad too. We would like seeing and knowing more about Croatia. We would love knowing more about your opinions about the trains and ferry. Love your music. We are dying for your next Split video.
Thank you very much! Some food videos will be coming up soon from Split. We've found taking the buses in Croatia to be relaxing and a nice way to get from place to place.
Nice video.Sam your parents are lovely and your mom is so pretty, of course your Dad has that rugged handsome look.Must be great to have this adventure with them. I’m always happy when I see you’ve put up a new vid.Take care, stay safe.🖖🇨🇦
Hi, I'm planning to visit Zadar from Ancona in two weeks. I have no previous experiences traveling by ferries. I have a few questions and appreciate if you could help me to get a clear picture of the situation. 1). I have multi-entry Schengen Tourist visa (I am a Sri Lankan traveler). How is the border control at the Croatian port (Zadar)? Just wanted to make sure that it is possible to enter to Croatia in Zadar port with Schengen multi-entry tourist visa. 2). There are multiple choices available on the ferries for reservations, a). Deck Space ($130 for two people) b). Reserved seat ($150 ) c). Two berth cabin inside Ensuite ($250) d). Two berth cabin outside Ensuite ($270) I want to reserve a private room with beds for me and my wife. Any idea about the lowest fare private room with sleeping beds? Thank you very much in advance for your effort in answering :)
Cool. We are watching this in Pula. In preparation we saw your Pula video from last year. Tried to get into Jupiter Pizza last night but it was jam packed, but then it was after watching Croatia play in the world cup final round the corner in the amphitheatre - great atmosphere. Not really football fans but it seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Loving Croatia!
Don't know whether you've visited Albania, or plan to, but I can strongly commend Shkoder [ Scutari to the Romans ] for its excellent food, historical interest and general attractiveness. Visiting Montenegro on the way, by no means a penance.
Heh Guys .. thanks for your vid on your travels from Italia to Croatia ... question: how well did you find the locals (businesses) ability to communicate in English on this trip. Both in Italia AND Croatia? I'm hoping to take our Fam of 4 (2kids) to Italia and then Croatia/Montenegro ....... THANKS in Advance 😃
I know sometimes is snowing there. I have many friends in Macerata. But it still looks unusual for me. Some views from the train looked like Ukraine )))
ice, and ice cold, in the middle of the summer -- soooo hot now, july 2018 --- hahaha. You guys are the best well dressed people tourists in the entire train, totally well prepared for the cold. Did you sleep enough ? 5.10 AM
I remember the last time you traveled with this ferry company. Dinner looked good better than just snacks and at a good price. By the way, Sam where did you buy the scarf you were wearing in Venice? I don't find those types here in hot Brazil LOL only one-colored gray or black. Yours looks like it is from Scotland or Canada. Liked it a lot
Perhaps you don't remember me , but I am a n old subscriber ;) I was living in a "landlocked place", I don`t know how do you say when a place is so far ... But i am here enjoying your videos, I love you guys, I think your English is COOOOOOL I was learning English from your videos, and I need to improve it, because My English level is poor :(. I thiink you are a cool family, BLESSINGS FOR YOU ALL!! ANd. Audrey Your voice and your English accent is very clear, Samuel at times speaks fast, but I don't want to be rude. NO I am being honest.

I didn't know you can do ferry rides to Croatia from Italy!!!!! That is so cool!
Thanks! You can also go from Bari, Italy to Dubrovnik, Split.
Thanks for the tip!
Yes but its much easier to travel by a car, as from Croatian town Umag in Istria to Trieste is literally 46 kilometers, so much faster;)
I love all the great information on prices and how to get around.
Thank you very much!
Ein gutes video das
Great video Samuel, and nice red Canadian cap.
Thank you very much Iván!

Woow so much snow !!!
There really was a lot in February.
I know sometimes is snowing there. I have many friends in Macerata. But it still looks unusual for me. Some views from the train looked like Ukraine )))
A greeting from Bologna, my city.🕍🏤❤
does the ferry still go?
4:24 Was that a whistle that you blow or someone whistling loudly, as with their fingers? It sounds shrill.
Oh, that was loud. Honestly forget where it came from.

Hahaha...thanks! It is hard for us to believe as well as it is summer weather these days where we are.
Dogs! Sorry...I'm so excited to see your videos from Croatia. I hope it's a little warmer there than it was in Venice!
Thank you very much! It did warm up quite a bit in Croatia :)
Sometimes I think its better visiting places when the weather is not at its best because there are usually fewer crowds. : )
Thanks! Indeed, that is a big perk of traveling in the off-season.
Hey,
Was just wondering do I need to pass though immigration if I need to change flights (different airlines) and collect and re-book the baggage?
Finally in Croatia ❤️🇭🇷
Thank you! So happy to be back :)
Hlw
Where do you guys get the money to travel and stay/eat in such places? I did long time travel but could never afford anything like this.
We work online as we travel.
Do they passport check?
jaja tu suegro es lo más! Muy buen video
saludos desde Buenos Aires!
¡Muchas gracias! Extrañamos Buenos Aires. Planeamos regresar este otoño.
You guys should visit Trieste on another visit to Italy beautiful city.
QUE LINDO BARCO Y LA COMIDA
Where i the link for the apartment tour on the blog?
Everything is all good 😘😘
Not many people traveling on the ferry at that time.
Indeed, that was also the case late last year when we went from Dubrovnik to Bari.
9:20 salad is not the course. It's meant to be eaten together with the main dish. I can't believe you've eaten it like that! Oh well :)))
Thanks for the tip.
Un abrazo enorme amigos! Disfruten! :)
