    Great review! I have a 19 SE nightshade and love it. I do agree with you the infotainment system is a pain, I’m also not to impressed with the transmission either there’s a lag especially in first gear. I will say coming from a ‘17 Camry into a ‘19 is a big improvement and Toyota really stepped it up!

    I have a 2019 Camry SE. The safety features alone are well worth it. It has more than enough power and coasts at 100mph very easily and very smoothly. It doesn’t seem to lack anything as far as power, and the standard body kit looks super nice and sporty especially with the nice rims that come standard also. The gas mileage is absolutely amazing. If I was going to get a v6 because of I’d power I’d just get a sports car.

    Purchased my ‘19 SE going on 3 years ago. Love it. As long as you take care of the maintenance, they’ll go forever. I’ll get something else for my growing family in the future, but I’m still keeping the Camry.

    I bought a 2019 SE a year ago and it is the right configuration for us. The gas mileage is incredible and the 2.4L 4 is strong enough 90% of the time. The other 10% isn't awful so economy vs. performance is close to the best of both worlds. Sure a V6 is nice but 90% of the time I don't miss that power but would miss the gas mileage. Great looking car inside and out. Reliable, roomy, comfortable and at $26,000 what else can you ask for.

    Finally a reviewer who keeps it real about the base engine . You want power go for the V6. Unlike those straight pipe guys who were so impressed with the power . Your not buying these cars for races. Great review!

    My girlfriend drives the previous model SE trim. I can't really complain about the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. It runs smooth , quit and not slow . You still have over 200 hp so I assume the new one is even better . I know the V6 is the real deal .

    I have had a blue Canadian model SE that was a former Toyota rental for a while before it made its way to Alaska, I picked it up as my daily for the Army….Had it for a year now and love it, sitting at 38,000 miles. Has a few quirky things that the North American counterparts don’t and love it for that…. Don’t see too many on the road like it….

    I just picked up one of these. I enjoyed your review, but I think the car has more than adequate power for what it is. When driving on the interstate, merging into traffic, etc., I don’t feel any lack of confidence. My four-cylinder makes me feel like this car is punching above its weight. And the gas mileage is amazing

    Good review bro I have a 2019 Camry SE and I've watched just about every video I can think of pertaining to this vehicle. You're the only person to point out the arm rest rubbing up against the passenger chair and yes it can be very very very annoying Lol. You can adjust the chair into a better position to limit the noise but good luck getting it into that perfect position it'll take forever Lol. Also I'm 6'1 and you can position the passenger seat up and down. There's a handle to adjust so you can lower the seat for more head room and trust me there's plenty of head room in the passenger seat where your head won't be touching the top of the roof. I also agree with you on the sluggish transmission but not a big deal if you're cruising around town in the city with the 4 cylinder engine. On the highway you really have to press that gas pedal to get going but once you do you'll get enough power to drive around with ease. Overall it's a good car but disappointed that heated mirrors doesn't come standard on all models SMH I mean it's 2019-2020 already c'mon Toyota my 2012 Camry SE came standard with heated mirrors Lol.

    • @CarMikeReviews
      @CarMikeReviews  5 лет назад +2

      Thanks, Shawn. Really appreciate the comment. I agree about the power. It’s interesting how companies decide what to make standard at different trim levels (heated mirrors) to create value or save costs. Even the “value packed” Camry isn’t safe from cost cutting.

  • @QuentinQuatermass

    I think that front passenger seat isn't installed right which explains why you can't adjust seat height and why the center console handrest rubs against it. My 2019 Camry SE center console handrest clears the seat easily all the up and down. And the manual hand lever adjusts the seat up and down. Yeah something going on with that seat.

    I enjoy the performance of my 1997 Lexus ES300, and even though it has a V-6, its 0-60 MPH time -- when NEW -- was also 7.9 seconds. So the 2.5 L Toyota has performance comparable to 23 year-old Lexus 3L V-6. That's probably due to lower curb weight and the 8-speed automatic transmission. Typical Toyota, you just have to get the RPMs above 3000 and it does fine.

      @CarMikeReviews  4 года назад +1

      Lovely. I appreciate your point. The engine is sluggish but it’s fuel efficient. In my case, I’m comparing it to other vehicles base engines or even the v-6. It’s a comparison based on a cost v. benefit of one choice over another.

    You missed the main annoyance, that's the angle of the headrests! They're set at a dangerous angle forward. Ergonomically, the headrests should be parallel with the front of the seat backs. The stupid angled headrests, that so many cars have, force people to crane their heads forward and causing major strain on their necks. They should be illegal and there should be a recall and replacement for any headrests that are made like that.

    • @CarMikeReviews
      @CarMikeReviews  5 лет назад

      Thanks for the message, Keon. It depends on your budget and probably where you live. The softer the tire the better it drives and the fewer miles before it’s worn out. Summer tires make a huge difference to me but really suck in the cold, wet, and snow.

      My 2004 V6 accord sedan did 7 seconds, had 40 more horsepower and wasn’t nearly as fuel efficient at about 16 mpg around town. So the fact that this has less horsepower a smaller engine and almost doubles the MPG of my old car is quite an achievement.
