For the best cake you have to try Fournos Bakery…there’s one in Rosebank as well, and they serve breakfast as well, so it’s a nice Saturday morning outing…
Hey Jones Family, Great vlog today as usual! Look forward to meeting you all. We will be officially relocating to Josi this week the count down jitters are real! Can't wait until we land.
What you guys, called the grits, it is a soft porridge. In the villages, we mix it with milk, and half a teaspoon of sugar. It was a popular breakfast before the 90's in many villages. I guess lately people don't eat it that much.
@@thandondwandwe3987 o ja "motogo" in Sesotho or " lesheleshele" in Setswana. Whenever, I prepare it, my daughter would be like, eish wena daddy with "poverty food". I think the growing class structure, had led food to be class representational issue, has turned food into a popular culture, and a commodified issue, rather than a basic human need. Because of these ideological constructs attached to food, sadly what we grew up eating in the villages is increasingly becoming extinct. Retail South Africa has also penetrated traditional village settings, food patterns and consumption has drastically changed. People eat noodles lately, something that was unheard of rural African communities. Thus, metogo, -soft porridge, grits are replaced by surgery and high curb stuff, such as, cornflakes, bread, etc.
@@ThomasThatelo I don't blame your daughter 😂😂😂soft porridge really sucks. Whenever I'm thinking of what to have for breakfast, soft porridge doesn't even cross my mind. There are healthier alternatives that are also tasty.
Sanibonani young fam ... another great video, yebo. This past Saturday, I started editing my bags for my trip there next weekend. I'm determined to take only two big suitcases for my month-long stay (luckily my Air BnB has a washer & dryer). And I took a nap ... several of them! That's what you do when you are a man of a certain age. I vote for RJIII to keep his hair :-D ....
Nothing better than being a daddy's lil girl. I'm one and I adore my dad 95 out of a 100. And that's only because the 5% is gone with the resentment I have of how he treated my mom over the years. I wish he was as much of the great husband to mom as he was a great dad to me. But my mom chose to stay with him...so...it's beyond me and doesn't make hate that man. Your daughter will forever be grateful for the fulfilling love you give her and no man will take her for a ride. It's extremely important.
Lice is usually a primary school thing... There's always that one kid that ruins it for the entire school 😂 but in my personal opinion ... It's not really a thing but it has its occurrences.
Mmmm your breakfast/brunch was interesting I’ve never seen anyone eating chicken, scones eggs and grits/porridge at the same time but it looked delicious
S/o to y'all enjoying y'alls stay in SA. Just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing y'alls adventures. Just wanted to comment on the last video I saw ... There was a comment on returning items/products. And as a consumer, and a former waiter I felt some type of way about it. Did the customer specify how she'd like her steak done? Coz I've been on both ends of that table and had no problems whatsoever working over there. If your food is not presented to you the way you ordered it, there should be no problem/resistance in returning it. If so, then it may be that particular establishment's way of handling things. Let it not reflect on all South African retail stores. That being said, returning items in South Africa is definitely more challenging having lived abroad and noticed the difference myself. SA's retail market isn't that friendly to customers. It's exactly like she said... if you ain't sure you want/need the item, just don't buy it. It saves everyone the time and effort. I can just imagine as a retailer if customers just felt the ease of returning things as and when they please, then I won't stand to make much profit.
I don’t get the Chateux Gateux appeal honestly. Kelly Jayne’s 💯 has the best cakes. The red velvet is proper red velvet, not just chocolate cake with food colouring. Best I’ve ever had!
Thanks for the love and support with this superchat! All homes are different for our apartment it does cut off the ac which it can get warm in the apartment if its hot outside. Some places have an inverter or solar and it doesn't affect them!
On Saturday I went wedding venue hunting... Something I will not recommend to do 🤣🤣🤣 the Rollercoaster emotions of finding something perfect to losing it to other contestants, yes, it feels like war of the brides out there 😅 will not recommend 😂😂😂
Curious how you get y'alls kids adjusted on certain meals... My 3 year old daughter is hella fussy with food. If it ain't noodles, bread or a sausage, the she ain't about it.
The Leonardo is the tallest building in SA and used to be the tallest in Africa as well but recently got toppled by a new tall one in Egypt. The Carlton Centre (Transnet BLD) in the CBD used to be the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere then got toppled by some building in Australia. This is all before the existence of the Leonardo.
Its confirmed...we eat differently with americans, porridge with eggs? Haai...No,No also scones? you also call them biscuits, they're scones... burger king had to remove them from their menu because in SA we dont eat with scones, scones are strictly for tea

There's porridge in the states as well however this wasn't that. We don't care for porridge as we remember it
Porridge eater here, I rotate between peanut butter & lemon juice for flavour... My mom still cooks it at least once a week for my daughter's 😂

Does the load shedding affect the ac and if so does it stay off long or get hot inside the crib if it stays off too long?

I was disappointed by chateau gateaux cakes. I had high expectations

What is wrong with my fav Lil Man'?
Y'all eat chicken for breakfast 😮😮😮.
Oh yes.. you don't?
I don't know about others but making chicken for breakfast seems like a lot of work. Only Lunch or dinner .
You need to eat protein before having coffee, so yes, we eat chicken for breakfast.
OMG 😆 Lice is a thing everywhere ... we're human beings, so we're all subject to the same things if we don't practice hygiene and good grooming.
He should cut it
Its a nice outfit but you will look like another religion
