- Sky News has spent several days in Albania talking to those who are trying to, or who have, migrated to the UK.
We also spoke to the country's prime minister, who is angry his country has not received an apology from home secretary Suella Braverman after she described Albanian migration as an "invasion".

Why do I have to pay £30,000 per year just to come here legally and study, and not even given residency, and have to go back home every now and then to renew my visa.
While it’s okay for some people to just swarm the beach of another country’s beaches like this?

@@borba5825 Kosovo Albanians unlike from Albania are the tricky ones. They are far more religiously & ethnically defined and organised. Unlike them, Albanians from Albania are either not very religious or agnostic. They also have no problem intermarrying outside their culture. The closed mindset from what I can tell comes straight out of the highland areas (Of which Kosovo has plenty of). So it's no surprise to expect organised criminals and people smugglers to be from Kosovo. This is I think the biggest problem. UK Home office & the UK media is constantly conflating Albanians into a single entity.. which obviously serves Kosovo criminals quite well!

@Alex Alex No The typical wage is 300-400 US dollars. So about 300 pounds a day. They simply save like crazy and also borrow money from every single family member and cousin they can. Its an extremely family-based society, so everyone trusts each other that will be paid back after few months of working in UK.

Albania is in the process of EU membership (not ratified yet) so eventually they will get all the benefits that membership affords. Though... the E192Million of remittances flowing into Albania in 2022 will no doubt figure heavily in their decision to finalize the deal.
So why not just create work in Albania.?
