I have been using it for 2-3 weeks now and I have no tracking. The scent is really nice too. I cannot smell cat pee at all. I will definitely keep using it.
Im glad it works for you but I'd have to agree with her on this one. Been using this litter for about a year now, and It tracks like nobody's business and it smells like home depot /piss even after scooping. Not my favorite litter.
Thank you for the review, you did an amazing job! You hit on all the points I am looking for in a litter. Dust, tracking, film buildup. All those cons make this litter a big No Go for me. Sticking with my Dr Elsey's, which has its flaws, but has been the best so far me the past 15 years. It clumps up perfectly for me. In tandem with a Litter Lifter scooper, they are a good pair.
Thank you so much! This was very helpful to me. I've been seeing adds for this litter and I figured I'd look at some reviews because I'm in the market to switch the litter I use. I'm having a really hard time finding one that works the best for me and my cats.
I’ve always had to scrap the clay litter! Wow! Did we use the same litter! None of the problems she’s talking about! Absolutely love it and best of all, it’s better for my cats’ health!!
Thanks for the review, the dust-free was attractive but it seems it's Only dustless when it leaves the bag. after use it becomes dusty. I don't scoop, I dump my litter through a sieve so not having dust flying everywhere is everything. I'm going to stick with my current dust free clumping lay litter, Dr Elsey's, for now. keep up the reviews and thanks so much - you hit all the perfect points! ❤
I watched this video and thought that this litter was no good because I have 7 indoor cats…. BUT I tried it anyway and it is the best litter I’ve ever used !!! And it is definitely saving me about 40 bucks a month …. Try this litter out it works very well it clumps smells good and lasts a whole lot more than our brands I’m. Sold on it !!
I had the same problem. It’s so much less dusty when pouring than a lot of other litters we’ve tried but my cats were covered in litter powder and were leaving it EVERYWHERE. I didn’t really notice until they were on surfaces that showed the powder. Very disappointing, I wanted to love this litter so bad! I wonder if this is specific to the multi-cat formula or just a brand issue.
I started with Okocat and then tried Catalyst for comparison. I prefer Okocat, too. I think it clumps better, whereas Catalyst seems looser (so one has work harder to get out the teeny clumps). Put another way, Catalyst feels damper to me (as if affected by humidity or similar, yet I had a box of Catalyst next to a box of Okocat. I preferred scooping the Okocat box more than I did the Catalyst box). - Joanna Harkin
I’d like to know, when you were showing the box after two weeks and mentioned “small large clumps of urine” that pass through the scoop, how did the smell though? Do you get to the point that you have to dump the whole thing and start over or does it maintain odor control?
I really wanted to like that litter. It was the first brand I tried, and the tracking.... Lets put it this way; the pine pollen in my area is so severe at times that it leaves a yellow coat on everything indoors and outdoors no matter how often you dust. Thats what this litter was like within 2-3 days of opening the bag and I simply couldn't take it
Have you tried the walnut litter? I can't hardly smell it. Tracking status by the box. Same with toufu litter but i go through it faster and smell ammonia. My catalist is otw.i how i can get a refund if i don't like it
Super helpful review. Will probably still try it because I don’t think tracking will be as big of an issue because I have 3 dogs that I have to clean up after when they track dirt, so what’s one more? lol But again, this was incredibly helpful & if I decide the dust is too much then I know I can try the other brand you mentioned 😊 Either way, I’m over clay litter. Now that stuff tracks!
I go to Tractor Supply and get the pine litter for $6.89 for the 40 lb bag. I wish I could just use that all of the time but I have 1 cat who hates the feel so I thought I would try this little for her. I'm at my witts end. My cat will go outside of the pan so I think I may give this a try at least once. Thank you for the review. I can't do clay anymore lol!!!
It's actually not that bad when it comes to tracking. It's a lot better than the clay litter. You guys should just try it out. I love the smell of pine, plus it clumps together. Everyone has an opinion on cat litter. I like it, my cat uses it especially after he was having litter box issues three months ago, going outside the litter box. We were using pine pellet litter at the time, and he was using it for awhile, then stopped going in there. I've heard this before. Cats might not like the feel of pine pellets on their paws. So when we switched to the Catalyst, it has made a huge difference. I like it, our cat likes it obviously ;) It also smells good and controls that litter box smell amszingly. I say try it out. Two thumbs up for me! :)
I agree as well! Clay litter tracked all over in it counters as well. No tracking with this! That’s odd that hers tracked so bad! Love the line smell too!!
HI! very interesting video. By the way, aren't you using the PETKIT PURA MAX anymore? Can you say something about problems or long-run use of that automatic litterbox?
Ha- doing his "sexy time"? ha. I liked that-- thanks for not editing that out-- good laugh.. they are Not bashful!! :) I think I'll stick with the soft WOOD one until I can get them to shift to pellets... and if I can't get them to that way-- I may "crush" some pellets and try my OWN "soft wood"..
That clumping takes litter out so it really doesn’t last very long, you’d have to keep adding, thereby, spending more than approximately $20 per month.
This is the first person that I’ve ever heard complain about tracking, I think whatever was doing all that tracking was something else in the house because it wasn’t even the same color
I did a review on a certain cat liter and didnt like it but everyone in the comments section disagreed with you. They claimed it was great to use. I decided to purchase a bag and found out that it was the worse liter that i ever tried. So im going to listen to you and not purchase this brand
I've thought of purchasing this. Won't be doing that now. Thanks for saving me lol
I absolutely love it! The wood smell is awesome and doesn’t track like clay so love it!
I have been using it for 2-3 weeks now and I have no tracking. The scent is really nice too. I cannot smell cat pee at all. I will definitely keep using it.
Hey I’m looking to change my kittens cat litter. Are you still using this one? Is it still working for you?
Im glad it works for you but I'd have to agree with her on this one. Been using this litter for about a year now, and It tracks like nobody's business and it smells like home depot /piss even after scooping. Not my favorite litter.

I agree! I have not had any of those issues.
pine is dangerous for cats
I’ll check into that; thank you, but I do not like the clay.
@@firehorse66elaineit’s klin-dried so it’s non-toxic
I have no tracking with Catalyst. We've had it for 2 weeks now. Odor control is awesome. Clumping is fine. We love it.
Damn! This is quite upsetting cuz I was just about to make a purchase and you definitely saved me from that. Ty so much for your review!
So glad I watch your reviews. There’s no perfect litter, but there are just too many cons here. That dust is INTENSE.
Thanks for the review, the dust-free was attractive but it seems it's Only dustless when it leaves the bag. after use it becomes dusty. I was considering trying this but I would’ve been furious at that much tracking. Thank you for these reviews. 😊
Thank you so much for a thorough review. Your videos have helped me so much!!!
I agree that it is the worst tracing litter. I bought the one you have. It is everywhere!
I started with Okocat and then tried Catalyst for comparison. I prefer Okocat, too. I think it clumps better, whereas Catalyst seems looser (so one has work harder to get out the teeny clumps). Thanks for this review, was undecided whether to switch from genius litter, now i won't.
Thank you, we were going out to buy because we were looking to save some$ with our cats, dust is the opposite of what we need at this point.
Damn. I wish I saw this video before purchasing it. However, I got a good deal. 40 lbs, free scooper, and free delivery. A few cents shy of $40 total.
Some people love it but I just wasn’t for me
Please what do you recommend I have 2 cats and I've been through so many brands but none are good with odor
Have you tried the walnut litter? I can't hardly smell it. Tracking status by the box. Same with toufu litter but i go through it faster and smell ammonia. My catalist is otw.i how i can get a refund if i don't like it

Hi, did you end up trying the catalyst litter? Did you like it?
Thanks, just got a bag to try and will return it
Do you think it can be used in an automatic self-cleaning litter box?
Awesome litter review. It was surprisingly messy!
Appreciate the support! Good thing I didn’t have any dinner parties 😅

I agree! Zero tracking problems! I love this stuff!
I don’t use it since I love using my pine pellet litter. I did use it again to test another litter. No problems has arise from the times I used it.
Is it similar too arm and hammer hard ball?
Hardball is the best I have used… clumps so well!!! But not carried a lot of places around me
@ I buy it online. Walmart has the Giant bag online for the same price as the box in stores
That clumping takes litter out so it really doesn’t last very long, you’d have to keep adding, thereby, spending more than approximately $20 per month.
have you ever try grass seed litter?
No but that is on my list to try! What are your thoughts on it?
You shouldn't have them in the counter. Nasty, but nice review.
Thanks for your review. Probably a no for me. We have four cats. Even though, I want it to work.
This is the first person that I’ve ever heard complain about tracking, I think whatever was doing all that tracking was something else in the house because it wasn’t even the same color
woowww, you're major problem is tracking? i dont care if they track as long as they control odor.
I did a review on a certain cat liter and didnt like it but everyone in the comments section disagreed with you. They claimed it was great to use. I decided to purchase a bag and found out that it was the worse liter that i ever tried. So im going to listen to you and not purchase this brand
pine oil is the sticky stuff and is not good for cats
The scary part is that you and the kitties are breathing that in-- which can harm your lung tissue.
It smells like wood, because it is.
You need to teach your cat get down from your kitchen.
