- Sonic Wave has been the spearhead of my most heated discussions in GD. The top 60 extreme demon, has always been my least favorite level in Geometry Dash, and despite what other people say, I have always refused to give it a solid shot. While actually trying it out on a few different occasions, I've never tried getting actual runs. Just random playing. Today I sat down for a few hours and tried to get some decent runs on Sonic Wave, to see if my opinion would change. (it didnt) So either way, here is the video you have all been waiting for. AeonAir tries sonic wave.

Raw Rhythm by YoReid’s main gimmick is that the gameplay is hard to sightread but the sync is perfect so you’re not even supposed to think about the gameplay that much and just click to the beat

Dont hate on me, but the only chokepoints in Bc are the fixed hitboxes in the ship gps and the weird ass transitions.

to be honest,if aeon actually tried to beat this level with his consistency.He could beat it in days if he wanted but he's probably never going to do it.Edit:He actually beat it.

@@tntblast500 No, in earlier videos whenever there was copyrighted music playing the whole entire video's pitch went down. This is the first time I have seen from him doing this.

I still fail to see how this is particularly smart. I mean, the moment you find out about audio tracks and see you can have a different input for each, it's just common sense to have your system audio and microphone and different tracks allowing you to work with these individually.
As far as I am aware, this is common practice among gaming channels.
I don’t know why, but hearing Sonic Blaster just barely get picked up by Aeon’s microphone makes me smile
I like how Aeon was complaining about the yellow orb at 1%, and yet this man sat through the rust pre-drop thousands of times and the last cube dozens of times

every nine circles level ever
As a person who's trying to beat swr (the sw remake with the least changes on it), people don't really see how absolutely awful this level is. To put it simply, this level has well over 10 chokepoints and considering how long, annoying and hard the predrop is, this leds to one of the most obnoxious and boring levels ever. It doesn't get better in runs too if you ask.

The worst part of the sw levels are without debaut the ball, the ball is harder than most of the balls of bloodlust or harder than bloodlust, also the 49% and the 73-77% are the hell but in a level of gd
@@jajasking9652 Idk if it's the worst; it's really bad but it gets consistent, not like the rest.
Playing from the first wave is 10x easier and better than playing from 0 simply because of the ball, it's not that difficult, but you have to get through the cube and ship before you get there, and after maybe dying to it you're guaranteed to lose consistency making it so much harder
@@XLGamer10 It's not THAT much better. Most of the chokepoints are specifically in the first wave so the predrop while it makes a significant difference, it's still not insanely big and playing from the first wave is stupidly horrible.

Aeon, if you’re ever looking for a high extended list level to try as a bit of a break, please try Lucid Chaos by CairoX. It’s a really good level according to nearly every victor, and as someone with nearly 60k attempts on the level, it never gets boring. The intensity from zero when you get to the ending is insane and stringing the parts together is incredibly satisfying. Good luck if you do try this!

Sonic Wave will always have a place in my heart. I don't see what there is to hate about it. I found it decent from start, all the way to end. Honestly it sucks that people don't find it fun!

The first yellow orb timing is massively harder on high fps, drop to 120 and it gets super consistent.
As someone with about 70k on this level i do infact find it very enjoyable. My hardest at the moment is nine circles. My runs on sonic wave are: 31%, 29-59, 58-88, 79-100. I really enjoy the level but the only thing that really brings it down are the choke points for sure. Edit: im now at 115k attempts in and 55%, 28-75, 28-72x5 and many more runs.
Im at 25k attempts in auditory breaker and i have 28-43 and 42-64 (plus some other not as good runs). My hardest rn is also nine circles lol
Tbh tho as a mobile player sonic wave is the only level I’ve been able to do decent runs. It’s extremely fun to see progress on extreme demon on mobile 60hz and imo is much less obnoxious to play than bloodbath. Also many of these choke points do get consistent (I pass the first 2 clicks of the first wave almost 90% of the time from 0). Also the yellow orb at 1% is really consistent on 60hz.
So true. I am a 60hz player and Sonic Wave is for me sooooo fun. Idk why he hates it. Maybe bc he has pretty bad opinions. Maybe bc on his refresh rate it can have some inconsistencies
I play on mobile and I can literally pass the 2nd and 3rd wave on SW, but can't pass Crack's part on BB, which is somehow harder than Asonic's to Gboy's part.
The long runs with the music edited out with only the clicks audible are oddly satisfying to watch.

Honestly this should just be the last extreme demon you ever beat
i think the way to do the 1st yellow orb is to click the 1st pink orb very early, so you can do the same thing with the 2nd one, just so you can hit that blue orb earlier, then hit that yellow pad and you're slightly lower when doing that yellow orb, giving you more room, you have to press it fairly late because you can still die to that ceiling
i didn't really beat sw, but i got somewhat consistent with the 1st cube cuz i was bored

so, my hardest is Cata at the time, when i first saw sonic wave did i know that this was my goal in GD, i just wanted to pass the last spam from 0%, i looked at the verification from sonic wave yesterday and almost cryed at the end cuz i kinda now how it feels to beat an extreme demon and sonic wave is something special for me. I just know that i am gonna beat this beast some day
