    Helpful tip: When installing the cooler clips, loosen the 4 screws holding the bracket on the motherboard a bit. The extra slack allows the clamps to grab the tab easier. Tighten the 4 screws back down, and clamp the cooler.

      Eventually those metal straps will bite into the plastic tabs and can even fail. You won't know until temps go through the roof one day.

    DENNIS!! I had been so scared to do my first build. It was a dream of mine. I got all my parts and was going to build with a friend, but my wife caught a cold so we're being extra careful and doing full quarantine. I decided to do the build on my own. I figured I'm an attorney, im a smart guy, I can do this.
    I ended up being so anxious and terrified of breaking things. I went from video to video for help but found them too hard to follow. But your AMD CPU installation was by far the easiest and friendliest for me. You've made me a fan for life. Thank you, Dennis!

    "Don't be afraid, it's not going to break or anything", well mine did earlier this evening, the plastic lever snapped off the metal pin. Not only was it incredibly tight, therefore requiring a huge amount of force, but it's also made out of really weak plastic.

      The PWM Fan for the CPU Cooler if that's what you mean then no, it will only control the Fan on the CPU Cooler, the USB cable with the Wraith Prism Software will let you control the CPU Cooler colors, the Motherboard software will do all the other RGB in your system...there might be a way to do it otherwise but not sure how as it seems to be something that doesn't work for most...wish I could offer more...but hope that helps some...

    Hi nice video and tutorial, explained everything beautifully. One question for the usb cable. I want to use the rgb cable so i can sync with aura sync. Would I lose too much if I don’t use the usb? Thanks!

    • @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM
      @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM  4 года назад

      I wasn't able to get my Motherboard Software to work with the RGB Cable, but you can give it a try and if it doesn't work, then you can go ahead and use it the USB way with the Wraith Prism Software...If it works you will have the same functionality and won't be missing anything...Thanks...

    No CPU thermal paste? Very informative video for people doing their first build though. Gets a like from me :)

      Yeah it's nice when the Thermal Paste is pre-applied it saves a step in the process, definitely good for first time builders...you have a great day...

      @@Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM Yup. I just did a build for my GF's daughter based on the 3700x. Thermal paste was already there. Saved me a step.

    I think it's really weird that you edited out the part where you dropped the CPU into the socket. Why did you do that?

    • @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM
      @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM  4 года назад +1

      The camera kept going out of focus for some reason, but it was just a short time so I took it out, it still shows the CPU going in, so not sure why it matters but there's your answer...Thanks...

    Hi great video if you don’t use the usb does this mean it will still light up raindoe but just won’t have control ??? Or do you need the usb for it to light up ? Thanks :)

    • @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM
      @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM  4 года назад +1

      If you don't use the USB you won't have control of the colors, but you will have the default colors...with the USB you can control all the colors individually using the Wraith Prism Software...Thanks...

    Cool! tks man! My only doubt is about the memory modules. I have a exactly motherboard like yours, and I will build my pc this week. Should I install the dimm modules before or after install the Wraith Prism Cooler? Tks for the tip.

    • @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM
      @Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM  4 года назад +1

      I typically put the Memory in after installing my CPU and CPU Cooler, there is lots of clearance after the CPU Cooler is on, so there won't be any issue's...

    Is there a reason that you didn't use any cooling paste between CPU and cooler?
