For those of you who are wondering what the hell the viking pilot was thinking, imagine it from thier perspective: you are defending your world against an unstoppable tide of insect horrors and you are almost certainly going to lose. Below you, a massive hydrolisc leads the charge against your final defense. You fly your vehicle in front of it, transform mid landing, and fire desperately at it. You know you're going to die, but you don't care. Even as it throws you aside you pour every round into that bastard.
good point, but in the vid, he landed and unloaded half his shots fired in that moment.. into the ground. more distance or joining the wall of siege tanks would have been better.
Fun Fact: A two star Sky Fury (Arcturus Mengsks Viking) can actually 1v1 a Ultralisk Perhaps he was hoping he could have done the same. He could have also been hoping to stall the advance to allow the Marine/Tank Line to prepare for longer (We see them lining up, no doubt where the Siege Tank that was firing at the hoard was trying to reach (Also, that Terran Commander has insane Micro, being able to move the Tank, fire, and tell it to move again so quickly that it appears its moving while firing, because everyone knows that Siege Tanks cant attack while moving)). Another explanation could have been the two other Vikings beside him were meant to drop down as well, but due to miscommunication, ended up killing their wingman.
@@PCSAWICK829 well i think some of them ricochet into the ultralisk, so some of them are still serving a purpose, and he was probably trying to stall for the wall of siege tanks to get ready, like Danny Coleman suggested, didn't work out too well for him no matter what he was trying to do though
They also didnt do the marines justice, i mean the white armored one took a full volley of spines in the arm and shrugged it off while the others took like three to the chest... to be fair tho lots of them in that scene were also headshot soo...
So apparently starcraft was meant to be a Warhammer 40K game. That's why the three races look so similar. Space Marine, Eldar and Tyranids. I thought that was pretty neat.
