Pineapple 🍍 You're such an inspiration to me, Julie! I'm an Esthetician student, graduating in March and bridal makeup is where I want to be! I'm starting one-on-one classes with an instructor (former MAC artist) from school in February and I couldn't be more excited!! Best to you!!!
Thanks for the tip! I used to use the Vueset palettes for lipstick at one point in time! I just ended up switching to the AKC ones just because they’re easier to clean out if need be. I never knew that about the Vueset though!
This was so fun to watch! I admire your work ethic in pushing through a late night and following with a low sleep level the next day. I also love 🍍s 🫶🏼
also can you update either on here or instagram at some point to let us know how you like the box 1.0? I’ve been contemplating stepping away from the tackle box as well.

Interesting!! I don’t think I’ve really noticed a super significant difference. Once you spray powders down with alcohol though over time it will cause the powders to get a little harder so maybe that’s why I haven’t noticed. Hopefully you were able to find something that works for you!
This was so helpful... Do you know how one could depot eyeshadows from the original palettes but keep them in the pans they come in into the Z palettes.... I having such a tough time depotting the huda palettes

@@julieruby thankfully I had wrapped it in aluminum foil, just in case lol but after that I splurged and got a Z-potter. I do love their magnetic spatula! I just know now not to use it with things in liquid form
Pineapple 🍍 yay!!! Does the eye liner you use stay on very well? I have tried so many primers and they always transfer to top. I have hooded eyes… What’s been the best for putting lipstick in?
Thank you for watching! Yes, the Inglot liner performs very well without transfer. The only times it will transfer is if someone opens their eyes too soon before it dries. For lipsticks, I put mine into the AKC palettes, but I've also used Vueset palettes as well.
If you use a flat pan and heat it up a little and put the lipsticks on it. It will be easier and a mini tong or bigger tweeters to pick them up and move them! Works amazing!!!

Have you thought about using 91% alcohol to moist the powder before pressing them so you don’t have to press so hard? Just like we do when we repair a broken powder product?
If you try it, please let is know how you liked it and if it changed the product. I’m about to redo my entire kit, and I’m not excited on this process honestly haha. And the investment is HUGE as well!! 😣
Hi! I personally haven’t tried this, but normally when cosmetics are pressed they aren’t done with any alcohol. I’m assuming it would press it in the pan too hard so there would be less pigment. Just a theory though!
Pineapple… 😊. This was a very informative video! Looking to downsize my collection just because it’s taking up so much space 😩. This was perfect! Thank you!
Curious why did you melt lipsticks if you’re just going to scoop the lipstick out of the pallets to use on clients? Won’t they look messy within a month of work?
Hi everyone! Hi Julie!! This was satisfying. I appreciate watching the mistakes you made with melting down the lipsticks. Very useful lesson. Hi I’m so glad you stumbled across my channel :) That’s amazing that you are trying to build your MUA career and at 6 months is impressive! It’s definitely not a negative thing at all to start off with more affordable products. Nobody has it in their budget normally to start with all high end things as it is pretty expensive! I even still have drugstore stuff in my kit. If it works it works :)
I use to melt my lippies when I first started. I don't smooth my creams every time the get dips in them that is too time consuming to do it every time. Please update on the box 1.0 I have been debating to get it. Please let us know how it goes & stands up in the kit. Also is it really all MAC containers for back to MAC? Pineapple.
Ya it’s SO not worth it after I did it lol The box 1.0 has been good working with so far I just can’t seem to get it in my kit Right where I can easily lift up both lids. fyi the mac recycling program is ending soon in a lot of countries so definitely recycle your containers now while you still get product in return!!
Yes I figured this out after I filmed this video. So sad! I have so many things to turn in that I've been trying to gather.
Please tell me you noticed you misspelled mascara and changed the label lol
😂 to be honest no I didn’t but I ended up relabeling the whole thing like a month or so later so it was only like that for a month. 😂 too funny! I was SOOOO over condensing at this point so no wonder I skipped over that.
Pineapple 🍍! Great video thanks Julie! . Back to Mac ends here in Australia March which I am so sad about. On a more positive note your kit is looking fantastic! Will you be doing a what's in my kit video this year?
Oh no so sad!! I hope mine doesn’t stop it. It helps out the environment so much too! Yes I will do one probably halfway through the year since I just got done with Kitmas. Not many products have changed since then :)
@@julieruby from what I’ve heard all stores are discontinuing Back to MAC after 03/31/23. You can still bring the containers back to be recycled, you just won’t get the free lipstick.
Wow, great job, pineapple
Thank you so much!!
I'm new to your channel and honesly I'm obsessed aha 🍍 I'm currently trying to build a portfolio at 6 months pregnant to become a MUA and work from home, I love makeup and can't wait to get better at it, ps I inspire to be you one day! Your absolutely amazing in what you do🍍 my current mua bag contains revolution maybiline rimmel and elf, do you think they are good to start with? Sorry this comment is so long xx
Pineapple 🍍 apple 🍎 pen 🖊️
Haha thank you!!
Pineapple! ❤
Thank you for watching!!
Good job! 🍍🍍
Thank you so much :)

Yay! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing pineapple 🍍
Thanks for staying till the end! I'm glad you enjoyed the video Lulu :)
Pineapple 🍍Great video!
Thank you so much!!
Pineapple ❤
Thank you!!
I have them stacked together so I may have to redo that. For MAC it’s anything glass, plastic, or aluminum so anything except for a pencil.
@@julieruby Thanks for the update, it is good to know. I might try them in my kit. I was concerned they might break. Thank for the MAC update too. I thought it was only shadows and lipstick they they took back.
🍍I loved the vlog
Thank you so much!
Use a MR. Clean magic eraser to remove the pink stain with water it’s magic
Ooo I’ll have to try that thank you!
I just saw them and they are pretty expensive 😢
Are you talking about the Artist Kit Company things? If so, yes they are an investment but it is a small business so they naturally will be a little more expensive. I did have to save up for them myself!
Not me thinking "oooo, where did you get those sample stacks?!" Then seeing you glued them yourself😅
Would have never even thought of doing that🤦🏽♀
Thank you ADHD brain for not being a practical thinker🤣 🍍
HAHA too funny! Yes I decided to DIY them :) You can however buy jars that screw into each other so they come in a stack.
@@julieruby Thank you for making me realise that tho😆 In my country stackable isn't very available, so now I know I can just DIY them😍
