I struggle with confidence and I have someone in my life whom I can not walk away from who is a constant source of put downs, shaking my confidence and making me forget my own value and my worth. I know it's not the same thing as what you are saying here, but as mentioned, whatever faith you have, I needed to be reminded and remind myself when insults come, I am a Child of the living God our Creator, I am loved, doing the best I can with what I have to work with, I'm enough, more than enough because of Him.

I have family and friends on the reservation but it seems they don't know any teachings. We are all just living in this modern worlds truth. I know God sees everything, God knows the future. I shall return to my roots

We can have some power by self creating a positive change. The future belongs to those, who prepare for it.
Thank you for sharing the old ways. Born 12/25/1950 birth stone Turquoise. Brought up Christian. But always felt there was a power greater than humans even be for birth of Jesus. Told that was God. As you call the neh (spelling?) Thus you teaching have a much deeper meaning to me than the Bible. I’m more a outside nature person and all creatures are sacred to me. I live by there nothing I can’t accomplish without God the Neh. All I have to do is ask. And I’m to help my fellow man. Things go not so great when my ego kicks in and do what I want and don’t ask for guidance and courage and strength. But when I don’t stray from the path I accomplish huge feats in very difficult and dangerous times. The concept of the Neh rings true to me than all the Bible stories. Your teaching up lifts me. We are to do no harm a creed I’ve always lived by. If I leave this body tonight I’m at peace tho im feeling my job here isn’t done yet but i’m so ready to go from this insane world. Pray for me

It doesn't matter what dna you have. We all come from our ancestors and if you are pure of heart they will help you. Talk to them and wait in quiet for answers. It takes patience but will happen.

Just this morning I came to realize that my confidence and joy had been undermined by a couple of people. They don't know each other, but my association with them really harmed me in many ways. To hear you speak of confidence and to call upon the elders and ancestors to help guide me back on the good journey, is exactly what I needed to hear. It is combined with patience. The development of skills and the solvation of problems need some time and effort.
For keeping confidence it is necessary to ignore some of negative comments of others, they are just jealous.
The essence of confidence, the acceptance of the possibility of failure but continuing to strive anyhow, success need not be for you now, as long as you contribute to the success, in the future, for those who come after you. It is always up to you to find fun in the challenge and to share that fun with others, so that confidence will grow.

My white mother used to say, and we were farm people, and her cousins were white women, yet my father was from native descent, "how much they valued their diamonds on their hands." She said, "I love walking into the soil and seeing the dew drops. They are my diamonds." That's so precious to my memory, and and, quite a lesson for what is actually valuable. 🌹
My mother was named Iris. She was the first born of her family.
(I've never worn even one diamond anywhere ever.. I only wear turquoise, and other minerals.)
