Once upon a time, I read that Bobby Fischer said you could do a lot worse with black than …Nf6, …g6, …Bg7, so that’s what I’ve been doing for a long time. I only later learned that some variations of this become the pirc. Sometimes, …d6 is necessary, and I often have trouble with white’s f4 move.
Hi Jeetendra, thanks for another great lesson! My suggestion for the end puzzle is white Bg5, attacking Q. Only safe square is f5. Then white Bd3 leaves Q nowhere to run! 🙏🏼🌞
i would go White Ng4 to threat queen and white bishop cannot exchange with black knight as white rook is aiming black knight. This leaves queen have to move away & white knight can Nh6 for check to have a threat for checkmate
i played this defense quite often, and most of the time, i beat my opponent. the reason is, this opening is complex to analyze by most intermediate players let alone beginners.
Im 800 and up until now whenever the opponent was playing pirc defense i was always thinking that im controlling center after playing 2. d4 but somehow i always ended up getting in bad position or losing queen and not able to castle properly, most of the times ended up losing but today i finally made my mind to learn this defence and im very glad that i did …I’ll play my games with black much better now
