I'm currently building a mast using chainlink fence top rail. One thing I have done that I saw in another video was I purchased some 1-1/4" schedule 40. I cut a 4ft section and centered it over the galvanized joint and then some bolts at the top and bottom to secure it in place.
One thing you can do to stiffen the upper part of our mast is to insert a dowel (closet pole) inside of the pipe. ITs light weight and it will add a lot of stiffening. You can secure it in place with a screw through the pipe into the dowel.
You may want to checkout Dave Casler's video channel about building a 30ft. pole using metal electrical conduit and using the fence top rail as the internal support at the joints for the electrical conduit which results in a stiffer pole overall.
This video is what I was looking for for a tutorial on tilt over masts. Thank you very much!

Heavy duty! Nice job!
Love the T-shirt. Thanks for sharing

Great job
You can use fence post canter with another set of poles for support and then your guide wire for support 😊

Looks real solid - did you go with the A99 or the Sirio?
The post is dug in at 3 feet and cemented. Post is very solid. Should handle any wind.
How deep is the post in the ground ? Did you use concrete? Nice video I’m looking forward too trying this.
Hows it holding up?
Use 1/4" nylon rope for your guys. It's cheap, don't stretch, and non metallic.. N8VO
how far up is your hoisting point on the antenna
