    Justin, you may like to consider placing a small piece of 12ply between the motor and the transom. Steel screwing into alum can cause probs down the road. Just a thought from an ex truckie who has a thing about metal on metal, I claim no expertise and am happy to be corrected if my idea lacks merit. Only a minor thing
    Seriously good looking rig btw!

    Hey love it and your system system works great, but might I make a suggestion you install a swing out boom on rack to lift the outboard and set on the boat using the winch, would be a great back saver and nothing worse than injuring your back while on vacation. And hey was thinking also if you strap trailer to the boat you could flip both over in one go! Cheers from Ontario Canada and good luck fishing. :) Andy

    Hi Justin, I have the same tinny. I had it custom built last year by Alf Stessl in Geelong to use as a roof topper. Alf is the father of Tim in Queensland. These are great boats. I purchased two Tracwedge sideport gunwale mounts for my tinny after watching your videos but they won't fit in the gunwale. I thought looking at your video they were the ones. Can you advise what you have used. They look like very good products. Thanks

    Great set up, works for you which is the main thing! With the sounder/jump starter - how do you find your set up? I imagine you have the wires from the transducer/power cables hardwired in the tinny and then just plug in the finder and jump starter when you want to use it? Do you find the transducer gets in the way when removing the tinny from the roof? Would be expensive to snap off haha. Hope you're enjoying SA!

    Buddy what are you doing wrong ...should have got a boat full .. bit more info on using the jump starter to run the sounder would be great and affixing the Eski must be more than one star port ?
    Try using some vibes over rubble bottoms - reach out to Ryan Moody on using your sounder or Mr Sonar

    • @TripInAVan

      Dean Martin Team Gotcha I just plug the cig socket into the jump starter and turn her on and it runs all day, so simple👍 and yeah the esky is screwed through to the seat as well as the star port on the floor. I am sourcing a few extra star ports and extenders to mount one either side of esky and back to the seat so it will be easily removable... at the moment I can’t catch fish so the esky can stay in😂😂

    Nice video mate but where do you store your net, fuel tank, anchor etc when traveling?

    • @TripInAVan
      @TripInAVan  2 года назад +1

      Net stays in boat on clamps behind rear seat. Fuel tank goes on draw bar of caravan behind stone guard and anchor and other bits live in a storage box that goes in tunnel boot of caravan 👍

      We had the roof loader and the outboard slide from almac which are both great quality products, so it was an easy choice 👌

    Gday, I bought some railblaza gear (trackwedge starports) to fit on my mako craft 376 topper, but they wont fit inside the gunwhales! Just curious if you had to customise anything for them to fit?
    Cheers

    Hi Justin, great vid! Hey I also have ordered a 376 for roof topping. I ordered the casting platform too but am thinking of cancelling it before it goes into production due to weight. Can I ask your thoughts if perhaps the casting deck would make it too heavy. I also optioned black ops package, rear boarding step, front electric motor mount and starboard side pocket to mount the sounder on. Thanks again
