- In this video, we're taking you through our experience of buying the brand new Colorful Evol P15 Laptop. It's an entry level gaming laptop that brings very good specs for the price BUT it has a dark side that no one told you about.
The unit that we're showcasing in this video comes with intel Core i5-12450H, RTX4050, 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen 3 SSD.

Because Service quality and spare parts availability is an important issue in laptops.
For mobile phones you can give a try to new brands but always go with trusted brands for laptops.

This brand is making laptops since the Macintosh Era.
These specs with this cheap price always comes with a catch
Its a starting company , less workforce to fix bugs. The problem with this laptops are software related not hadware.
I think its a marketing strategy because they are new to the laptop market.

The OS keeps getting corrupted either its a memory issue or the boot drive needs to be replaced if error is found

I have dell g15 gaming laptop, and 2 months after I bought it , it started to overheat while playing games, hence I called the customer care, after some testing on my laptop , they decided to give me motherboard replacement, and from then my laptop is working good and temps are also good. Moral of the story, always buy from reputed brands.
I also have the same issue in my alienware m15 R7 and by testing they realise they have change the cooling system so they went for it and from since it has been working

The thermal design of your particular model is bad. Lot of reviews have mentioned it. The so called brand just ripped you off with their reputation. I can't imagine how you would fix issues, once the warranty period is over.

Lol i got the 2021 ryzen edition of the G15 (5515) mobo died after 3 years due to a design flaw and i am pretty certain they didn’t fix that flaw even in the latest models. Now i will say that it did work for 3 years but machine just randomly died due to dell engneering.

Brand value is also important. This laptop offers specs identical to my HP Omen 16 laptop which costed me 1lakh rupees. Which I purchased last year in August.

The colorful team should be banging their heads on table (I seriously hope they do). Had they made a good product, a good video from these guys could have boosted their sales for sure. Sadly a bad first impression is most usually the last one.

Never had an issue from Colorful, already tried their ram, motherboard, and GPU. All working fine. Maybe it is just on their laptop products?

For a moment, when he talked about specs; I was shocked as I have spent a mid spec at 55k from HP. But really when the service centre support was catered, HP is the king. They supported me on my wifi issue within 3 working days (on-site).

Same serial thing happened to me to on asus laptop but shop owner is very kind i had 3 years of warranty and i am getting warranty still
Bought a new loq laptop, same issue. Worked fine on first boot, booted into recovery mode. Had to reset twice. Worked then, updated windows, got this error. Had to pay Lenovo support for fresh windows. Seems like an issue with OEM windows installation
This is why I purchase laptops offline. It's better to see the product irl and talk to the executives to see how they treat their customers. And they usually match the prices online.

yea works fine for non techy guys, but if i had purchased the 2 laptops offline that i returned, im sure they wouldnt even consider the problem i had "a problem".
So this is something happen to my Dell 2 in 1 Laptop too. Though Dell made everything right the issue was related to the SK Hynix SSD firmware not playing well with Windows 11. And the resolution was to upgrade the firmware first. But unfortunately that didn't work and they had to replace the SSD with the latest generation of SK Hynix SSD. Looks like the exact same issue.

Thats pretty odd, but a fresh clean install of windows 10/11 would have solved all problems and its pretty easy.

It might be easy for us but what about little Bablu whose non tech-savvy parents got him his first gaming laptop only for him to find out it doesn't work and the after-sales service is pathetic. I'm pretty sure instead of doing a fresh install himself, Bablu will get it done at a store which will probably install a cracked copy of Windows which won't receive updates. So yeah while it isn't a big deal for us, it is for a lot of people and also the quality control at Colorful is aweful
Same idk what's the problem anyway, I always reinstall windows on new laptops as it removes all the bloatwares and ads that come pre-installed
@@rishabhsinghmanhas527yes for tech savvy people like us, but looking at the price tag and company name, most of the buyers are not gonna be tech savvy, they will be looking for a good laptop which has high specs and low price, they may not even know about installing windows.
To make it worse it’s the worst of the worst of the company does not have a proper customer service process, hence we can see this is a shitty company no matter how easy it is to install a fresh windows and move forward.

@@RamjieBb I've been using it since around 2 months, you can throw any game at it and it runs perfectly, no issues and it has 3 years warrenty which is nice.

Colorful is a reputed brand which makes decent AIB GPUs. If you haven't heard about it before doesn't mean it never existed.

same blue screen problem i am also facing in my acer aspire 7 laptop just buyed it and within 20 days it shows the blue screen and now it became a common thing, idk what to do!!!!
thats why i purached my laptop from lenovo its was bit costly for the price but even after 2 years of aggressive use stil works preety well as good as new

Infinix GT Book Review please
I had to install windows from Microsoft directly and working fine. No OEM version. What can we do? Updating resulted in recovery mode and windows gone. Thankfully I had Microsoft account and there Microsoft key. Hopefully it is working fine with processor running hotter.
Thing is videos like this will pop up now as there is infinix & colourful also. Launching there laptops

yep. might be. a laptop i had crashed with BSOD recently. tried to reinstall windows and kept bsodding. i thought ram problem. but tried to install linux and everything worked perfectly. windows is getting worse and worse after win 7.

Maybe there was a problem with your unit in general.. Because it can be a issue in reputed brands laptop too that is 1 in 10-20 laptops might have a similar issue.. I am not defending the brand for this, just making a general statement.. Because I have watched other reviews too and they had no issue regarding this.

No complaints regarding the performance whatsoever, just use in power saving mode for better batter . This laptop is good for mid to high lvl gaming I say and decent in work use

ur local shop cannot get u a mobo replacement or many other significant replacements, if something goes wrong with the laptop and customer care doesnt respond, thats 65k down the drain right there, dont be hasty with ur purchase wait for more reviews or just buy a 3050 laptop from a brand that atleast has a working customer care

this could be possible due to bad storage, and breaks windows, but also maybe the windows is lazy installed by colorful, but main reason could be the bad storage

Oh boy happened with me I bought a laptop from Avita and it broke in just under 3 years surely I felt for aggressive pricing gladly I brought Lenovo legion and will never fell for newcomers like that

7 days ago I also purchased Lenovo loq from offline store after 2 days I got battery fully drained issue it's my fault coz I left the laptop on sleep mode and cooling pad connected so battery fully drained and in power button only blue light blinking so after that I pressed keys but not worked then I hold the power button for shut down but after shut down my laptop not charging and turning on that time so I raised a tokken for repair but also it's a new laptop so I wanted to fix asap so I went to service center and they fixed it instantly also they said if there is a issue with motherboard they'll replace the laptop but everything is okay only the issue is power related and also next day I got a call from Lenovo customer support for my issue they asked about my issue but it's already fixed so it's good for me btw I'm also thought to buy this colorful laptop bcz it's way cheaper than other with better specs but yes ' quality is better than quantity ' always
