3:03 Out of curiosity, I went back and checked the last time they interacted with this specific poe statue. Their last interaction with this statue was episode NINE, or 135 EPISODES ago, despite returning to Lookout Landing numerous times during the LP
Maybe they will, but I have my doubts. Stephen was keen to upgrade outfits in Breath of the Wild, but doesn't seem so much here in Tears of the Kingdom.
@hestushenchman the upgrading was more straightforward in botw. And since the individual upgrades ask for money rather than just once to unlock, I can see them not wanting to do it.
1:32 (She had it in the last game too--there, it felt like it fit with her character dynamic, physically being a child, but the only other connection I can make is that her theme music has recorder notes in it) 2:35 (Technically, Robbie is in Purah's place while she's out--and Robbie's place was taken over by the Yiga, as seen earlier) 3:00 There's speculation that Josha was designed as a Purah who aged naturally between games, before the devs decided to just make her an adult again instead, and the leftover design was re-used for Josha. Just speculation, I think... 3:26 **The Central Mine Bargainer Statue would like to know your location** 16:13 (Considering they rarely use Zonai devices anyways, getting a fun new thing probably wouldn't have changed much) 17:34 (Somewhere around 124-ish) 21:55 That's actually based on where you're standing when you open the chest--if you're squarely in front of it, Link will kneel down to scan it open with his hand apparatus, while if he's off to the side or behind it, he kicks it. He did this in BotW as well.
You can start the skydiving challenge from the top. It's just easier to do it from the bottom because the Construct just teleports you to the top anyway.
Of all the armor in the game, I've found the depths armor to be the most disappointing. Other armors have uses where you use them while not in combat, so you don't waste money upgrading their defense, such as the glide armor or the climbing gear or the slip resistant armor. Some armors are for combat for their offensive or defensive properties. The depths armor tanks a tiny bit of gloom HP damage and in seconds that's gone and you have no actual additional resistance to gloom. And if you're trapsing across gloom in the depths you might be in combat with something like a frox or the gloom hands or whatever, so you want to buff it up. But you might as well just save your money and materials and upgrade any other set of armor. It's not worth spending thousands of rupees and valuable materials to upgrade something that basically says hey, the first 3hp of gloom damage is free, otherwise we are just basic armor that doesn't do anything good. If it provided like half damage against gloom damage I'd be interested. If it prevented hearts from being destroyed while fighting Ganondorf, I don't need it but that would be something to boast about. It's about as disappointing as cooking 3 regular apples and a sundelion and using that to heal, except it costs you thousands of rupees.
23:40 and a few minutes after...... I'm starting to be convinced Mal is purposely going out of our way to ignore stuff to drive us collectors crazy.....especially going out of her way for non-important animals who offer really bad foodstuffs.

It has been that long? Oh god
I hope Stephen and Mal upgrade the Glide set enough to get the set bonus. It's one of my favourite set bonuses in the game.

Stephen gets told he starts the thing at the bottom, chooses to climb up...
I will never be able to understand the thought processes that govern StephenPlays' mind...
Excellent profile picture
I can't believe they got EVERY secret stone, and STILL haven't even explored a tenth of the depths

I'm honestly curious at this point what the gameplay would have been like if it were just Stephen. The puzzles, navigation... Hmmm.
Honestly I don't blame Mal for hitting the ground - this one was the most annoying skydiving challenge because of all the dang clouds.
I thought it was fun. You either have to react quickly or practice enough to know where the land will appear.

I think the frog armor is much worse
How much time was edited out of that climbing sequence
