    I love these kinds of videos Aoi San . . both very culturally entertaining as well as educational. You have flawless skin . . probably attributed to the thanakha. When applied, does this have a smell? I would love to try it, however, not in the thick (obvious) application. Great video Aoi San. Please do more of these.

    Thanks for the guide. I have a small piece of that thanakha which is the size of your fist for about 5 years. The piece of wood never expires? Also, if I heard correctly you said I can use any side of the log?
    I understood the color changes but does it also give different types of protection if you use the bark vs the root?
    Great video as always! I may give it a try since I do have the thanakha and a small stone. I’ve been keeping it at house as decoration since I was worried since it several years old.

    • @aoisansdiary7

      I’ve never heard of Thanakha having expired date so after cleaning it well , you still can use it . Moreover, I don’t know much differences using bark vs root but for Acne I see many people prefer to use the root .

    I have been kinda waiting for this video about Thanakha. I mean, it is everywhere in Myanmar. There may be differences in Burmese people but all regions seem to wear this makeup on their faces. I did not know it was applied to the arms and neck as well. One question: When it dries on the skin. Doesn't it feel weird or like paste? Thank you. I really enjoyed this show. Please can you help me anyone?!
    I am in a hot sunny climate and I was really hoping to protect my face with this thanaka.
    The only one I could find was on Amazon :( I ordered it and it looks like an orange powder almost like turmeric. There are no instructions. I tried to mix it with a little bit of water but it’s very gritty. It looks very orange on my face not beige like I see in the video.
    Can someone help me please to send proper instructions how to mix and to help me determine if what I brought is fake ??
    how I can receive the actual thanaka ? I really need to use it for natural protection thank you

    • @aoisansdiary7
      @aoisansdiary7  3 месяца назад

      Oh I didn’t see your comment. So I recommend you if you can get the part of the tree in original form it’s the best but people also use it in powder way too
      Depends on the part of bark you get , the color changes like the skinny bark are usually yellow but not as yellow as turmeric the larger one or the root parts or the one which is used over a month or two daily becomes whiter ( the color you can see in the video) which is my preference and the yellow ones have stronger oder compared with others.
      The instruction is you just need to add water ; the more you add water, the texture will less gritter but it is normal to get gritty tbh but I personally gently rub with my hands for the base layer cuz I want to see them bland with my skin tone. For the upper layer as you see on my cheek like mark, I add less water to make it thick and more dense so that it could see as mark and it have more effective for real .
      If I still live in Myanmar I could help you to get one but I move out so hope my reply helps you a little

      If there's anyway you can help me get it the real thing I would very much appreciate it!
      If you have an email that you are willing to share it would be easier for me to write you there.

    The biotech in Ancient Myanmar must be very advanced so that Thanakha was used to protect the skin from the sun's rays. But, it is very time-consuming, isn't it? People got to wake up about one hour earlier in order to be ready to rush out the door.
