Yan-yuan" is typically pronounced as "Yahn-ywen." The "Yan" part is pronounced with a soft 'a' sound, similar to "yawn," and "yuan" sounds like "ywen" with a soft 'u' sound, blending the 'y' and 'w' together smoothly.
