I've seen Jorgic play much better. It's a mental block more than anything. He knows he's playing Timo so he's thinking more about that than moving his feet. If you wanna see who's going to win in a match just watch the feet. Also, Jorgic is losing the longer rallies because Timo is leveraging his experience. Jorgic is usually missing the middle table shots because it's shorter than the corner to corner shots. Other that I think Jorgic has a place among the best, it's a mental thing. His attitude and footwork need to match his great potential and come to the games with fire and resolve. Great match Jorgic!
When I played table tennis I was nicknamed the "Grizzly Giant" because of my atrocious footwork. It's a reference to a tree (which is in California). I can empathize with Darko. Some things can't be corrected by training. He needs a sports psychologist to improve.
Timo' s technical brilliance..he is a joy to watch!
Jorgic made a nice work; however, because of lack of experience, he made a lot of unnecessary power shots with mistakes, and he had some problems on backend receives. But If he improves like that he will be in top europeans soon.
What a match .. congrats Timo .. hope Darko could elevate his success in the future .. great show

Timo Boll is the Roger Federer of tabletennis!! 👏👏👏
Sounds so nice and would be fantastic but no. Federer dominates almost every player and won so many titles. Boll has been as Federer for an unprecedented time amoung the top players, but he won only a few big titles (losses against chinese players)
However he is an exeptionnnal player!
That would be true if there were 5-6 asian tennis players that would kick Federer's ass constantly. Which there isn't.

Darko Jorgic is too aggressive and lose touch in quite a few loooong parts of the game. Great shots yet many weak ones giving points to the consistent player Timo. Darko Jorgic lacks answers to the middle placed balls from Timo and he forces the ball with terrible consistency after this his moral dies and Timo reign victorious ! Darko Jorgic needs to change his mentality and self control or he is wasting everything he could be and will lose where he can actually win , learn and progress .
I like those challenging rallies , thanks to both for the hard work !
ジョルジッチは、典型的なバック苦手タイプなんだろうな。ロングサーブ出されたときのレシーブとか、ラリーになったときのブロックばかりの対応からして。
サーブがよく切れて、3球目のフォアが得意だろうし、市大会でよくベスト16あたりまで上がってくるタイプ。アルナもバックが見違えるほど上手くなったし、ジョルジッチもバック得意になったら、さらに怖い選手になりそう。
そうかな？カットマンと試合してる動画見たけどカット打ち半分以上バックで打ってたけどな笑

この試合でも、1発という意味では得意なんだと思います。何度か、とても威力のあるカウンターが決まっていましたから。いわゆるカット打ちのような、上回転のラリーよりも遅いラリーであれば、フォア同様に返せるのかもしれないと思います。ただ、上回転で繰り返されるラリーとなると、その''タメ''の時間が足りずに本来の威力を発揮できないブロックに近い安定思考のラリーになってしまっているように思います。その点だと、ボルはバックハンドでもフォアハンドと同様に、上回転のラリーでもドライブで返し、前陣だけでなく中陣からも巻き返せるスタイルで、両者は異なったタイプなのかなと。
