The enemies not dying to On/Off switches is actually quite bad. That looks like it will break a lot of levels that require you to kill enemies by timing an on/off block hit or something similar
I agree, I hope they change it back. Even if only new levels have the change so it doesn’t break old ones, this still removes a cool level design trick that is the core focus of lots of levels
It looks like they changed a lot of hitbox stuff during the development of the SMB2 mushroom, since that totally changes how the player interacts with hitboxes. And in the process, they broke a bunch of other things XD #DevLife
@@bobjoe1832 ? The glitch he's talking about wasn't anything to do with slopes... it's the one where POW blocks shot out of blasters (without slopes needed) had no hitbox when there's an SMB2 mushroom in the level.

Hey Smashy, I have a "fun fact" for the new update. For the boomerang suit, if you hit a block at its side you activate the blocks property for when its hitten at its side. When it gets hit by the boomerang losing altitude, it will have the property of being hitten from the top (ground pounding, etc). You can use this for mythbusters or something, if you would like.
Little glitch that's kinda minor: normally, you're able to pick up and move Mario around while you're playing your levels. You can't do that if Mario has a P-Balloon.

With frame-perfect timing, you can jump with a red pow box on a shallow slope the instant a thwamp touches you and destroy it without breaking the "No landing after leaving the ground" clear condition.

I don't have SMM2 but there's something I want to test out. Can you pick up a winged spiny with the SMB2 mushroom. I know you can pick up unwinged ones if you land on their belly through a one way I know you could walk on them before but you'd get damaged. If you had a shelmet to damage boost would you be able to pick it up while you are damage boosted?
Something I did on accident if you run and slide under a piranha plant with a beetle shell you won't get hurt or loose the helmet unless you stop ducking move or jump works in all styles (Mario world use fire Piranha)

My guess: when developing the SMB2 mushroom, they had to adjust a lot of hitboxes, since Mario interacts with hitboxes very differently under that power-up. And while they were messing with hitboxes... they screwed some up.
The Pow duplication glitch is going to spawn some extremely creative levels. I can see Panga making another nightmarish level using every glitch here.

I’m pretty sure uploaded levels from old updates have old update rules, preventing certain glitches from still working.

I made a level where you have to kill a muncher with an On Off block that isn't possible. Oh well, Nintendo will call it a glitch and remove it

All levels stay in the update they were made in, meaning glitches from the past will still happen in the levels that feature them

The way you execute the POW duplication glitch is surprisingly similar to the Bob-omb glitch in Super Mario 64.

For the POW blocks not having collision glitch, it's only if the POW block hits a wall. Otherwise, it'll still have its collision.
