    I started on a 600 because I didn’t want to get bored of a smaller cc, however I knew what I was getting myself into, I did my homework for weeks before I decided to get a Cbr600rr. All I have to say is know what you’re getting yourself into and please respect the power on a 600!! It is nothing to joke about or show off. A lot of liter bike riders say to start off on a 600 because it’s slow but I can assure you it is not!! These bikes will take you to 155-160 really fast so if you’re going to start off on 600 please respect that power and take it easy! Eventually you’ll get to where you want to be it just takes patience and practice. Ride safe everyone.

      Once you start doing track days you'll get even better quicker. I rode my cbr600rr for many years before visiting the track. As soon as I did a few events my skill level jumped by margins. I was riding A group after 6 events.
      Edit: I'm on a fireblade now. It feels like a quicker 600. I find myself entering corners faster than anticipated, but I've adapted.

      This is something I never understood. Respecting the throttle is simply not enough to justify getting a 600cc. Like you're really slowing down your progress when you have to learn how to control a high HP bike and gain more confidence as you do your parking lot drills at the same time. Then you take it out on the twisties and make mistakes without knowing until a vetern tells you what you did wrong. And please if you're gettinga sportsbike, you are going to take it out on the twisties coz otherwise you would just get a 650cc naked and be just fine. People always over look racers and think "oh I don't plan on riding on the track." But the thing is, they start from 125cc-1000cc and this is what people overlook. Even the pros needs time to build the fundementals on a lower cc bike before having full control over a 1000cc, so why are you skipping? You're not racing on the streets but again its how much control you have over the bike. Yeah you gotta do the basic MSF stuff like scanning and being aware but if you're always correcting your inputs when riding then wouldn't it be easier to just start on a lower cc bike to progress further ? I bet nobody will read this and staright up bash my comment.

    I started on a 600. The one thing i tell everyone who asks or says they want to get a bike is pick the bike that you feel you are capable of handling. I had absolutely zero experience riding any type of motor bike, but i knew i was competent, confident and responsible enough to just get the 600. Some people can start on 1000, some people will struggle with a 300. Be self aware. I now ride a ZX10R and would never go back.

    I started on an tuned modded R6 with very little dirt bike experience. I think the only thing i had going for me was i waited till i was 35 and i understood how to drive standard. The dirt bike experience def helped. But it's a diff world once u pull up to a road with a lot of traffic for the first time. I 100% agree with you, respect the bike, learn it, the sound, the tires, shifting, stopping. 400's are hard to sell. You will always lose money. The R6 on the street is a piece of history at this point. Love the video man, good solid advice. I wish someone told me how much i'd spend in gear before i picked up my bike tho.

    I started on a 600. But now that I know what I know and seen what I’ve seen I wouldn’t recommend it. I would tell someone to do their own research first. I just got my bike (zx6r) flashed and now it’s even more insane than it was before. The power to weight ratio is crazy. The throttle is very very unforgiving like they say, and i realize why they say that now because I’ve rode my friends R3 and it’s like riding one of the bikes in the MSC to me now.

    • @Ntbrides
      @Ntbrides  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I see what you mean, starting on the 600 definitely taught me a lot I now ride a fz09 and it’s a whole different world, I recently rode a fz6r and it was wayyy more forgiving compared to a 600cc sportbike

    100% I learned on a Kawasaki 636 and I feel like its a perfect size to start on, my buddy has been learning on a 750 honda shadow and another friend let him try out his harley 1200 sportster, he dumped it after giving it way too much gas and letting the clutch out way too fast so I feel like a bike where it kind of forces you to respect its power is perfect to learn on, then you get no bad habits

      Im on an ice bear mad dog 49cc, it had a fat rear tire which means I have to lean around corners and turns, do you think this will contribute to riding a bike when I get one? I’m currently working to get my class M permit

    • @dazeen9591
      @dazeen9591 7 месяцев назад

      @@peggysmith4258 well depends I guess. A lot of the super fast bikes have fairly wide tires and they require a lot of leaning as well.
      But something like dirt bikes usually have fairly thin tires. Definitely easier to manuever at low speeds but they too require leaning if you want to turn at higher speeds because the tire is too thin for stability so you have to assist with your foot.
      Whatever bike you'll ride in the future, you will learn just fine.

    I started on the MT07 and took the MSF course with a 250cc dual sport. Let me tell you something, riding on the streets is easy but having control over your bike is not. I felt like I was progressing slow on my MT07 because you feel the weight, you are really mindful about the power that it just hinders your progress. Had I took at least 6 months of riding the dual sport and getting the fundementals - intermediate skillset, I would've became a better rider than having to be extra careful for a machine that I don't even understand its capabilities. But I believe people on the internet are gods and don't need to practice and can just "respect the throttle" and somehow manage to master body positon, line selection, emergency braking, swerving and what not. Idk how that works.

    • @Ntbrides
      @Ntbrides  7 месяцев назад

      I feel like a lot of people practice privately a lot behind camera, I don’t have the 600 anymore cause the engine blew but for me it was easy to start on and control, currently I’m riding a fz09

      @@Ntbrides Yea like I said, I'm going to assume Ya'll just very good and I'm just not as good. But I wonder why my friends who tracks don't just go on a 600cc and need to start on 300cc. Sureley its just managing the power and has nothing to do with finding the limit of each bike.

    • @Ntbrides
      @Ntbrides  7 месяцев назад

      @@mikasihite5346 yeah I gotcha, a lot of it too could just be the bike man, in the past year I’ve ridden plenty of bikes and realized for me I definitely ride better on sportbikes, I understood their power and what they are capable off and just respect it, everyone is different haha, I have friend who started on 1000’s and are surprisingly great riders, main reason I started on a 600 was sound and looks, I wooden gotten like a 400 or something but just felt like the a small toy for my height, I’m happy I started on a 600, it was everything I couldn’t asked for in a bikt

    • @mikasihite5346
      @mikasihite5346 7 месяцев назад

      @@Ntbrides Not taking any credibility away from you, just want some viewers to understand its really not just about understanding the power. The only way you can understand a bikes capability is if you know where the limit is and know where you should be around there. So if a newbie rides a 600cc, how is he/her going to know where the limit is when the bikes too powerful for them? Might as well start on something easier and progress up. But again if its just street use, it dosen't matter too much coz you're just going straight.
