What power this work and what a performance great one of best I’ve heard
Spannende Aufführung dieses großartigen Meisterwerks mit brillanten Töne aller Metallbläser und perfekt kontrollierten Töne anderer Instrumente. Die Solovioline klingt besonders schön. Der geniale Maestro dirigiert das perfekt vereinigte Orchester im gut phrasierten Tempo mit völlig effektiver Dynamik. Echt atemberaubend!

This music gives me an uncontrollable urge to pick up bones and use them as tools.
Seriously, my hat's off to the orchestra, not just for an excellent performance but for taking on this piece, whose first 3 minutes are ridiculously over-played, but whose body contains so many lovely subtleties that are rarely heard.

I heard things in this performance that I had never heard before--layers and colours in the orchestration that, this time, didn't blend into a vague mush. I think that Strauss must be grateful.
This is perhaps the very best interpretation of this piece I have ever heard. Congratulations to the orchestra and the conductor, Dima.

La música es vida llena de sentimientos
Dentro de lo que ya es sabido del mas que bien hacer de la OSG, esta, que dentro de la orquesta hay miembros de la OJSG, lo cual nos llena de orgullo a todos los coruñeses y a los amantes de la música clásica.
¡De orgullosos, podéis/podemos estarlo!! Es una orquesta vibrante, fresca, se atreve con muchas obras y diferentes directores, un repertorio que sin orillar cosas conocidas, me ha hecho descubrir algunas desconocidas para mí... con muchos jovenes como dices [es evidente que tiene un futuro grande]... ¡es un lujo poder escuchar esta orquesta!. ¡Ah!, y la filmación siempre es magnífica pues enfoca siempre al instrumento/s protagonista, lo cual es muy didáctico para identificar sus sonidos. Yo estoy suscrito, y he oido/visto diferentes conciertos, y siempre me parece que tocan muy bien y que la filmación es muy cuidada. Se tendría que dar más a conocer en Galicia [he visto alguna butaca vacía], y en todo España. ¡Felicitaciones a todos los que lo hacen posible!, y gracias.
Hay directores que se han atrevido a confirmar lo que es obvio, la mejor de España, Karel Mark Chichon, Jesús Lopez cobos, y el mismo Lorin Maazel tenia previsto hacer una gira por su país EE.UU. fue en ese momento que le llegó la enfermedad, y ya no pudo ser, y yo no se cuantas orquestas de España han tocado en la famosa sala del Musik Verein de Viena la OSG. ha tenido ese honor en Galicia es la mas popularjunto a la RFG.(Real Filarmonia de galicia) por norma tiene que actuar en todo el territorio gallego, y en todo el territorio nacional.
Me gustaría que viniera por BCN, que seguro que viene. 'Salut, i força al canut'.

+rania747 /Si a Lorín Maazel que fue un grandísimo director, que venia de dirigir la London Simphony Orchestra no entendía de música, si Jesús López Cobos no es un gran director que baje Dios y lo vea, y si Karel Mark Chichon que dirige orquestas por todo el mundo, y que acaba de ser nombrado director artístico y musical de la sinfónica de Las Palmas, algo tendrá que saber ¿digo yo?, el problema que tenéis, es que no sois capaces de admitir que en la periferia de España tenemos las mejores orquestas sinfónicas del estado español , caso de las dos de Galicia, las dos de canarias, la del Palau delas arts de Valencia, etc, etc, mira las cosas desde la óptica musical sin pasión patriotera alguna.

Ryszard Strauss ciekawa interpretacja muzyczna religii perskiej zaratusztranizmu- Tako Rzecze Zarathustra wg.F.Nietzego. Monumentalne wykonanie godne "czcicieli ognia".

This is the the best performances of Zarathustra I've ever heard and I have the "classic "one with Frtiz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestrra.
Many conductors are stuck on "the story line "of Strauss' tone poems which makes them sound episodic which they are not -- vide Michael Tilson Thomas' live herky jerky reading of Eulenspiegel with the San Francisco Symphony which I wrote up for www.culturevulture.net -- but Slobodeniouk and the OSG project Zarathustra as one continuously unfolding line.
Slobodeniouk is clearly one of best -- and dare I say deepest ? -- of our living conductors .
It may sound snobbish to say that his reading of Zarathustra here is like chamber music because each line and the color of that line contributes to an indivisible whole. Nothing is there that doesn't need to be there.
And lets not forget that Strauss, who has sometimes been reviled as an opportunist, was sincerely interested in Nietzsche's philosophy in his book Also Sprach Zarathustra, and this piece is his sincere musical response.
This performance is up there with Bohm, and of course Furtwangler. What more could one say?

Yes, Strauss took some chapters from the Nietzsche's famous book as inspiration. Now, how accurate the depiction is belongs to the subjective interpretation of the composer.
