I love this set up. I always said that I spend so much time in my garage that if it had a kitchen, a bath, and a bed, I can live there permanently. This is exactly what I would want. You did an amazing job! As far as exterior color, I suggest a slate blue / grey.
I'd leave the mismatched doors the way they are, Makes it unique and a funny story to those that notice (you'll be surprised at the amount that don't). AWESOME place though!!!
Regarding the closet doors where one side is up side down ... leave it as is ... it creates some contrast, and it’s an entertaining story!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love watching your videos & build ... good job!!!
lol - I got quite the laugh from that. They are spot on the quality of their work, design, etc., so it was quite funny! I would agree, "leave it". I am so impressed with their work!
Mainly clicked on this from my recommended because I just love architecture. I love how this looks, and it's on a gorgeous area of land too. Can't wait to see the finished product!
Amazing build and love that everything is useful. Leave the doors you put on wrong as they are, it’s a story and good laugh when you’re have a few beers with your best buds! Enjoy it all, great success!
To be this young and have your head on this straight, and all these plans, a home, hard work. Hell I was still trying to figure out which pool hall to go play that night, and which friend's house I would crash at, or would they come to mine? Lol
Congrats, You are young and have your mind in the right place. Your parents did a great job in raising you and supporting you. I am 55 and need a place like yours for a long time.
This is freakin awesome!!! Damn be super PROUD of this. Your design choices are incredible!!!! The views are to die for also! Considering the superb quality of your work, I got a great laugh from the "upside down door". lol
I'm looking to build in the next year or two here in Montana and I really appreciate you sharing! There are so many good ideas I'm still trying to sort through and yours is definitely one of the better ones I've seen.
I do construction for a living siding and windows. Don’t paint it black it makes the walls very hot which will raise your heat and cooling bill. I’d do medium grey siding and paint the trim around the windows white to match.
I went back and checked his video #11, it is indeed spray foam, 5.5 inches thick meaning he likely used closed cell to meet code. R38 insulation value at least, plus it’s airtight… that place is kept very cool, did you notice he only had a tiny 1.5ton AC unit for that structure. Also it looks like he’s in Idaho or somewhere so the added heat would actually save him on heating bills. Black paint is a bold high class design choice that matches the look he’s going for. He probably sold this for 650k or above in Idaho
@@handelhumphrey8596 I know I been doing Remod Construction my whole life been doing it for 35yrs full time and 6yrs part time when I was in school. @@twintibbsdiesel93 hey that sounds awesome ! Tell me about the spray foam....my buddy had a fire at his house from it a few years back, something to do with the foam. Have you heard of this happening , maybe you can tell me what went wrong , thanks. I have always wanted a shop that was bigger than my house! And for a shop Integrated with the house? You hit a home run! Great job and great location. The views are awesome. 👍🏽
The deck with the handrail I've seen that done before but not with that view The Wire it just came out priceless it gives it that old look but with a million-dollar View really nice work

Looks great. Skip the RR ties.I did those once and they turned out great. But, over the years they deteriorated and I had to remove them. Now I do concrete edging and colored pavers. You can get the edging in different styles or pour your own. It is amazing how fast time flies and you have to tear out your hard work,
I have a detached garage and spent a lot of time in there. Working on the Harley and the hot rod, so I put in a TV, a stereo system, then some solid pine furniture, with a couch and 2 chairs and a coffee table. Then I put in a huge metal desk with a cabinet for a computer on top of the desk and a piece of heavy impact tinted glass on the desk. Now I have so many creature comforts in there, it is no longer a garage. I even built a 12 x 30 addition with a bathroom through a window I removed, a room for my tools. Well, sure am glad I still have the garage attached to the house! Other wise I would have no garage at all. I went way OVERBOARD on the creature comforts! It is more like a second home instead of a garage and I now spend all my time on the computer in here. I should have just left the stereo and been happy. Now I am too old to change things and someone stole my hotrod. (Wasn't in the garage!) Good luck, I was 24 when I bought my place for cash. Don't go in for too many creature comforts! Oh, I was thinking forest green, with light gray trim.
Good job young man! The only thing missing may be a woodstove in the shop. Nothing like a good wood fire to take the chill out of your bones. Very impressive. Stay the course!
You have a beautiful home, we know it needs a touch more to finish it really is a home... that's awesome sharing your cleaning products... thank you for sharing your video with us...

Awesome setup, diggin it. I like your living area to shop ratio, and the built in safe is a good idea, nice cateye. Also out in the middle of nowhere is cool.
Cool! I would paint it a tertiary to the natural posts/timber, like a dark red, dark blue, a gray or even a grey/green. Adding solar, along with VAWT turbine could get you some power, along a Bendpak lift for the garage/shop. Oh, and don't forget (if not already) lightning arrestors/rods. Great barndominium!
you need to paint the body of the house of medium green it will absorb heat when it’s cold but it will not overheat in the summer, it will also blend into the surroundings instead of standing out
I really like this the bathroom is so beautiful! The balcony is stunning and now I want that to be something I have as well. I really would have thought the living room and kitchen would have been bigger.
Awesome setup. And the super clean is the best for cleaning dirt bikes. And engine compartment on trucks and boats. Really love the house. Supercross track and lake would be great out on the land there.

Totally agree with leaving the doors as is. Great job,❤️
Yeah I think they look great
If you like that why dont you hang all the twin units with one right side up and one upside down....contrast??? Lol
Adirondack blue with the white trim would look good, like a modern rustic feel. Shop house is so ideal if you have a few toys and such, great idea.

dark grey would be nice especially next to the natural wood of the deck, like a modern castle
Great design and execution. Nothing beats the joy of envisioning then executing and finally standing back, taking in what one has created.
