I have watched this vid so many times. I've always had an idea in my head of what would be my perfect house, this is it. Layout is sensational. I would make very small changes like a firemans pole from loft to ground and a couple of other ideas but this is just perfect. Well done to all involved.
For me the toughest part is finding someone that does this type of amazing build where I'll be retiring is tough...this is the way to go. Dream home without a doubt.
Go to the Local home building material supply stores / lumber co in the area you want to build in & ask them which builders specialize or at least build the type of home you are looking for.... The supply stores absolutely know their builders because they consult builders on the latest & best materials & are aware of all of the builders projects, quality & standards... They are also aware of builders who don't market or use realtors, that you may never know about. You can interview builders from those referrals...
You have truly out did yourselves. I use of the second floor as it relates to the scale of the kitchen and other areas. I really appreciate seeing it completed with furniture. The space was portionately well used.

One suggestion...leave more elbow room on the wall side of each double sink vanity. I hate banging elbows into the wall or towel rack when using a sink.

Going back over some episodes I had missed surprised I missed the last on this one beautifully done surprising there's not a Big Ass Fan in the living area
Their website says $130/sqft for basic interior. This video says roughly 3900sqft with first and second floor, not including the attic so that’s $507,000. The garage space is 1400sqft at $50 a foot so $70,000. And the porches are roughly 1400 sqft at $42 a foot so $58,800. Grand total for the BASIC build not including attic, patio, or covered exterior areas = $635,800. Expensive but that’s a MASSIVE HOUSE.
I did a bathroom wall with a near exact same 3-dimensional heavily textured tile like you show here for a customer. It looks absolutely fantastic! ...But it is an absolute NIGHTMARE to keep clean. You can't even begin to imagine how much crap each one of those tiny ledges will collect. Take my advice: Don't ever do this to your bathroom wall. I speak from experience! --- but it looks great, doesn't it?
Looking to do a barndo in ETx and love the continuous roof and exposed rafters inside. What is the dimensions of the material used for the roof and how difficult is it to install ? Thank you ! DM

Solution: small leaf-blower once a month. Then proceed with dusting/cleaning the rest of the bathroom the traditional way.
Down size to just the great room, the shop and a small bed room , I would live so nicely and be well equipped.
I'm not a fan of mounting tv's above fireplaces, but otherwise...wow.
