    Pitching PG with "Your guy is hurt a lot" is the last thing the Sixers can afford to do, because if I'm PG if I'm hitching my wagon to someone who's injured a lot I'd rather pick the 2x finals MVP and living in California where I'm from over Embiid and Philly.

      Actually, at least Philly's guy will gut it out and play if he's hurt. You could never say that really about Kawhi. His last great run was back in '19 and even then, he was hobbled in the Finals if you back and look at the stats. Because of the chronic injuries, Kawhi accelerating to the irrelevancy of his teammates Harden and Westbrook.That contract extension is about to become the new albatross contract in the NBA that will make Beal's and Dame's look like sunny days along the Amalfi Coast by comparison.

    1:06:25 I think the problem was how he handled his rotations and starting line ups… He had a stretch where he was starting Reddish and Prince , while sitting DLo and AR… He underplayed Rui… When the season was supposed to be about running it back, he chose to play players that aren’t starters… So did he get blamed for losing to the Nuggets??? No but he does get blamed for a 3-10 stretch when he was fumbling his rotations …

    Riley never took the Butler window seriously; it was always a bridge to the next thing. Bam is incredible and now it’s time to get real. What that means for my Heat, I don’t know, but I’m excited.

    • @SimsGoCrxzy
      @SimsGoCrxzy 8 месяцев назад +1

      Riley hasn’t done the best the last few years. Jimmy wanted his guy Kyle and he got him. Kyle contract and production is what held Miami back. All the trades that were talked about with KD, Mitchell and Lillard we didn’t have enough to send out. Lillard was on the top of the list before the season and they tried the whole summer but couldn’t pull it off. Glad we didn’t trade for Beal. I’m just not sure what was really out there.
      These 9 and 10th seeds don’t want to trade players anymore bc they think they might have a chance in the play-in so trades are a little more difficult.
      I think Miami needs to trade Tyler with picks and maybe one of the younger guys to see if they can make a splash. Maybe not a top 15 player but someone that can fit better in the lineup with Jimmy and Bam.
      Who are some of the players you want back on the team and who would you want Miami to go after?

    • @Fash0da
      @Fash0da 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@SimsGoCrxzy
      I wanted Kuzma and Tyus Jones at the deadline over Rozier; Spo does not know how to use explosive guards like Rozier very effectively.
      In a similar vein, Tyler can’t come back. I think he’s let the off season stuff get in his head and he’s too insistent on being a starter when his most optimal role is 6th man. He was not good enough in the playoffs, bar an incredible game 2.
      I think we need to keep Highsmith and Jovic. Bam needs help in the frontline and Jovic’s ceiling, paired with his performance this season, is too enticing to trade out of for anyone short of a superstar talent. Our trade package is therefore Tyler, Jaime, Martin, and however many picks we can string together. I have no idea what that gets you, but obviously Spida is a name to watch.
      We should also probably give Jimmy his extension, which is functionally a 1 year add-on since the other year just replaces his player option.

    As a Celtics fan (watching this with fascination), I'll say this: yes, Embiid is a baby. No, I'm NEVER afraid of him. Yes, he's always out of shape for some reason come playoff time (good reasons and bad). That said, only Philly fans (and some national media) would put this on him. The simple, basic fact is the rest of the Sixers roster is nowhere NEAR good enough (nor has it been the past several years) to talk about "losing too early" in the playoffs. They pretty much lose to better teams.That's it. It's simple: WAY too much is being put on Embiid and Maxey. Twosomes don't win championships by themselves (they never did, we just romanticize they did) without good supporting casts (Bulls fans--how good were they when MJ came back but they didn't have Grant or Rodman?) Sure, no other team is gonna be able to be as deep as the Celtics right now...but...who is the Sixers third best player? Fourth? Whoever they are (you're not even sure), they don't come CLOSE to matching OKC, Denver, Orlando, LAC, Milwaukee, Indy, much less Boston. So yes, I love dumping on Fat Baby 'Biid as much as anyone, but honestly, the expectations of him here are delusional. Get a third banana or rinse & repeat.

    Can we stop anointing guys superstars. Im a sixers fan and maxey is not a superstar. There's Allstars, Stars, and superstars. And then a reserve spot for a Megastar. Heres the breakdown.
    Allstar- Maxey
    Star-Trae Young/ Kyrie
    Superstar-Luka, Joker, Giannis, Steph
    Megastar- LEBRON.
    WE HAVE TO SPOT THROWING THESE TERMS AROUND. SO ANNOYING

      Lebron was that. Hasn't been that for years now. Super stars havw the ability to propel their teams regardelss of rosters or circumstances. Think Kawhi on the Raps.
      Also Maxey is better than Trae. Trae is the worst defender in the league. Offensively, they aren't that far off.

    Having close games and a close series is an indictment on Embiid. It just shows he's not clutch. You can give the never ending injury excuse despite playing 20 games straight and 40 mins a game. Either he's on opium meth steroids concoction to become the healthiest injured player in NBA history or he oversells his injury for 11 years straight with 11 years of excuses to not beat anyone in the playoffs.

Embiid got stripped by noted defender Gallinari lol with 43s to go when down 4. That was game over. How come you don't mention that play? Keep up the great pods and give Ben a break

    76ers weren't going to win anyways. Once Embiid went down, it was a sure thing. So why he came back. Idk.. Because there's no way there was enough time. With him being that size and with all he has to do. Those are time's you have to have a 3rd Star. Also a solid backup C. They don't have either one. They could use a couple different/better role player's.. They've been handicapped ♿ by the Tobias Contract for year's.. Ben Simmons bs.. He's never been healthy. If I was him as much as it hurts. I'd stayed my azz at home the rest of the season. Came back hella strong next season. Or been on a serious minutes restriction.. No point on injuring yourself further for the rest of your life.
