Gillian is a terrific looking woman, being 6 years old that is something as a child you don't think about. Looking at her now , she's a corker of a woman,
This brings back some good memories. Back in the 70's I was 8 when Follyfoot started and I thought it was brilliant, not like the rubbish thats on these days. Dora, how lovely is she? I spent a whole night going through all the Follyfoot videos on youtube, I think I'm in love again, those pretty eyes and cheeky smile, BRILLIANT
My Favorite show from the seventies,Thanks for posting. It's hard to believe its been over forty years.I'm a singer songwriter and musician,The theme song from this show is very catchy by the Settlers .
@bootsamou Hi bootsamou I'm afraid it is... 40 years ago this year when Follyfoot first aired and I fell head over heels in love with Steve (as did half the teenage female nation). LOL
hi i watched the box set recently and when i got to the last episode i couldn't work out what dora's very last line was-can anyone help? i also couldn't work out if she was going to leave or stay[everything about that episode seemed to point to leaving but then in that last minute it got pretty confusing]
That's a really interesting comment! I saw the last episode go out on the same weekend as my 15th birthday back in 1973 and spent the biggest part of 40 years believing that Dora had told Steve to go and had decided to stay herself. But, like you, I bought the DVDs in recent years and watched all 3 seasons - what a treat, I'd never even seen season 1 before - and agree that the ending is ambiguous. She seems to be saying that Steve can stay, but doesn't make her own position entirely clear. To be honest, they'd grown so far apart and had such different visions for the future of Follyfoot Farm that it's hard to see how they could ever have continued working together, but perhaps that's just me being cynical aged 60, rather than the bright-eyed 15 year old who first saw and loved the show! Actually, I think the show's writers were quite brave to choose to go down the route of conflict between Dora and Steve in that last final season, rather than trying to tie everything up with a neat bow..
