Safety is a concern but given the end use of city driving and minimal usage which he is proposing, the safety feature needs to be designed to tackle probable danger events.

even good e-scoter is costing between 1.25 and 1.5 lacs. with 4 lakhs a half size car provides a great value.

As a Software Engineer who travels about 15 kms per day theough heavy traffic in Bangalore, this a must needed traffic solution. This guy is ahead of time.

I think this pitch would have required bigger sharks in the tank. All of the sharks were already out at 1 Cr demand for 1%. I am sure if the guy would have asked for 20 Lakhs for 5% equity the sharks would be fighting to grab the deal. It was just a matter of risk appetite, this guy can create a big company once he gets the right guidance and opportunity but at the same time It would require a shark with risk appetite of this amount which none of the sharks had at the moment. I really hope to see a great outcome for all the hard work this guy has put into making this.

Rich don’t understand the pain of the commute we face everyday because of the traffic and big size vehicles. And about pricing I think it could be compared with next level car which can easily be above 8L for EV. I mean Ather is for 2L . So 4L is okay I believe.
But as per my observation I see too much rickshaw & yellow plate cars. I saw very few big cars now a days

just study China and BYD , I can't believe the sharks don't know about them (the reason they gave is why they don't know), Car is also a social symbol in China, but as he said it's second vehicle, now that middle rich class is increasing at high rates, it makes total sense to have such car (same happened in China)
Cars like these are the need of the hour in cities like Bengaluru. Daily I ride a bike to work and see numerous number of cars of different sizes stuck in traffic and having only one person inside it. We can easily fit 3 cars like these in a space that a regular car occupies on road.
Sharks are stuck in the Nano era. Yes nano failed because people in India connected car size with self esteem or social status. But that was more than a decade ago. things have changed. Also Nano did a mistake by targeting lower-middle class people. In fact small cars are for rich and higher-middle class people, who live in metropolitan cities and can afford multiple vehicles, who cares mostly about utility and for those showing off is not a compulsion.

You fail to realise that buying decisions are more emotional than rational for human beings especially when it comes to luxury. People should learn from the mistakes of nano. No one can deny their usefulness but these cheaply priced cars should be marketed cautiously because a car brings you prestige in society and that's a major reason why people buy cars .
What I like most about this man is that he didn't get any offers from here but there is an awareness on himself that he didn't lose...
Point,plus when he was offered a loan he was very honest and I can't afford it ..
Now the confidence he is innbaf shape need money and support but he denies it ..which suggest great self confidence.
Considering the scooters,bikes and pollutions ,climate conditions..this one has a great potential..MG COMET comes almost similar design..and price wise this should get a good sale

In my opinion, if this car took on a more beetle-inspired look, it could really excel in terms of aesthetics. Additionally, adjusting the center of gravity to be more grounded, as suggested by this design, might enhance its overall appeal.

The biggest issue is car safety that can add another 1-2 lakhs. The pillars strength is not clear. How much of a crash it can withstand. Definitely needs lot of testing and changes.

I can definitely see this future coming. Traffic is going to b a huge issue and parking is already an issue. Owning a 4 wheeler is a convenience. U dont get wet in the rain, u dont get the dust, u dont get the heat directly. I own an alto and drive it like it's my bike. Still I face parking issues.
People need to understand, there are premium bikes and there are regular bikes. Premium bikes are aspirational. Many dream of owning an RE Interceptor 650. But hardly a few actually go and buy it. Activa fir v 1 lakh ki pad jaati hai, usko koi Aspirational nahi bolega. Usko zarurat bolenge. Wo zarurat me bhi choose karenge ki thoda toh cute ya standard dikhna chahiye.

Not every one understands but they will. In Indian middle class family most of the students like us we have to go colleges and like some time we 3 friends going to eat some fast food for that purpose this is revolutionary. 3 people can't go on a bike for 3 to 4 km and specially in cities and for the new beginners to learn driving this car would also be perfect. This car is litterally can be used as a daily college driver for a student because we even pay more fair in metro and the headache to travel while standing is apart. If this vehicle came problem is solved we 3 friends can go to college in ac and even in low cost and without tention of trafic and this car is much much safer than a 2 wheller also if you compare to them

Aman Gupta 4 lakh and safety question, after BS6 emission norms almost any car that was 3-5 lakh range in bs3 norms reached atleast 6.5 - 7 lakh on road(even a CNG car prize range is similar).
With petrol price consistently 101+, a 4 lakh ev car(or a quadcycle) is far more budget & parking friendly for everyday commute.
With 70 kmph speed restrictions, required safety can be achieved need some more R&D on that.

This product is awesome for people using scooters in city trafic
Like he said most of the cars are large to get easily stuck in traffic unlike scooters or autos. This car comes with both the luxury of compactness and the features of a car. Any good motorcycle is around 2-3L now a days. I understand that the cost is a little high but I strongly think that it justifies the cost with the features and comfort.
No actual practicallity
Just buy a lord Alto and call it a day and probably that's what most Indians are doing. It's the most practical car for India.
My family owns both Hector and Alto, and we mostly use Alto to commute within 30 km. We only use SUV for long journeys that we make once a month max.

This design is already tried by many brands, Bajaj launched Qute, MG launched comet, Tata launched Nano. This type of vehicles are very popular in china and Japan as there is heavy demand for small everyday vehicles. Also safety isn't a concern for Middle Clas Indian
Even if I don't bet on the product for just a crore ,I would definately bet on the guy...he has that spark of a hardworking honest passionate enterpreuner....they offer deals just looking at the products but imo the creator is the biggest asset of a successful product ...I m pretty sure this guy will make them eat their words in some years ...

It's too thin, it needs a shorter wheelbase, the car is longer but half the width. It will be unstable at turns and tumble.
International two seater cars that's why they are side by side, never front and back.
I bet this is definitely revolutionary.... Because it's cool and because I from generation Z... I can predict that this is going to be successful, I know howmy generation thinks and why they'll like this

Reasons why i feel it isn't practical:
1. No safety... we don't know how well balanced the car is or what the build quality is... not airbags alone can assure safety of the passangers
2. Price... wayyy tooo expensive... Renault Kwid base version is a bit on higher price than this but is more justified
3. Cruise Control... why would anyone need cruise control in a car that runs just 20km max in a day... on busy roads
4. Service.... where will we get this serviced?? Spare parts, tyres?
5. Infotainment System... The driver won't be able to use the infotainment system much while driving... its pretty senseless... basic manual controls would be better
6. Market... the demand for this will be very less considering people would rather buy activas or bikes to travel instead of this
He should've accepted it from both hands to bring the vast experience of Anupam and his guidance on board.
