Kerr has a legitimate axe to grind with the FAI but it has clouded his judgment on Kenny from the beginning. He is watching the time Kenny is given with jealousy over his own tenure. I only wish that Kenny had the calibre of player at his disposal that Kerr had

Absolutely. I like the guy a lot but he's bitter that he was shafted by the FAI in such a short time. As you said, Kerr probably inherited the best team of any Irish manager.
Kenny inherited an aged team that didn't get their games at lower tier league and inexperienced youth.

@@em4945 absolutely. If Kenny had prime Duff, Keane, O Shea results would be different. Kerr should have gotten way more time but Kenny is working with a calibre of player not seen since the 50s

Kerr's focus is on investment in the league....and rightly so

Brian, come off it ! How could anyone say there has been no change in style of play since Stephen took over. You and Brady are ignoring the elephant that used to be in the room when SK took over,- there had been no focus on building for the future, so he had to start from the beginning how m

It's obvious that this would adversely affect the results of the first matches as he inherited no foundation & had to try different players/ formations. To compare what he inherited to what Andy Farrell inherited in the Irish Rugby team is comparing chalk and cheese . Then Brian, to try to suggest that there has been little increase in demand for tickets by comparing 2020 to the 1990s is disingenuous. He did not inherit anything like the 1990s team but a team with low morale, disorganised, over the hill playing rubbish, who the ordinary fans had stopped going to see.

@@gerrygilgunn7892 correct, also had to deal with covid for first ten or so games! Lots of big players pulling out n emtpy stadiums, Ireland need fans more than any team it's a huge part of us getting decent results, anyone who doesn't understand this doesn't understand Irish football, I love Brian but his dead wrong about Kenny it's strange

All the so called pros on TV calling for the sack. I hope he keeps proving all of them wrong.kerr doesn't get it.its the style change. It's the amount of young players.

"I don't buy that the style of football has changed". Followed by "it might have changed since Martin and Mick". The two previous managers. Get away to Qwatar with yourself Brian.
