It hasn't gotten used much because its bulky and doesn't work well (there are plenty of youtube videos that demonstrate performance of the TV). If you actually want one direction flow, just buy a check valve.
Yeah but a Check Valve only lets flow go one way. This fluid is slowed down going in the resistant direction. I can see in certain fuel systems where you need a slow but continued flow.
I don't claim to know but I would assume it can either be done by having a 90° bend in the valve between two of the... between two of the thingamajigs, or just curve the entire thing.
@@SuwinTzi Not to mention, a check valve actually works.. The Tesla Valve isn’t used very often because it simply sucks at stopping flow. Not to mention, it must be long; shortening it just makes it even less effective than it already is. Each loop effectively amplifies resistance. Which is why it is so long in the first place.

exactly, just a single ball bearing that allows you to make the flow unidirectional, no complex shapes needed.

@@starcityrc3298but that's not the point of it. It's not made to slow the flow. It's supposed to stop backflow. It doesn't.
@@benji3900it's not supposed to stop back flow
Thank you for this informative video❤️.
Please keep posting stuff like this.
It's used in pulsejet engines
Tesla valve (metal) is an excelent vaporizator for a Diesel Stove that prevents heated gas flow back to fuel tank
Or, maybe, it can also be used to "self prime" a fluid (water) motor.
RCE used this but to stop a tsunami in City Skylines
I just watched that video. I think that's why this one showed up in my recommended
Me too
Just watched it loll
Well, the only problem is it doesn’t fully close if you know what I mean😅
That is such a cool design
Can a tesla valve make a 90°turn, and still work?

Mabie somthing that constantly runs that needs a thing to midigate reverse flow or mabie sudden back pressure
Its a excellent invention of all time 😊😊😊
Simple hydrologic return? Instead of using hoses? Weird lol
Tesla Valve more like Special Needs
can you use a tesla valve in a underwater breathing mask to extract oxygen from water?
it's worth testing, there are pressure drops through the valve which _might_ extract dissolved gasses.
hasn't been used, because theres no money in it. The part can basically last forever
I agree, there's no planned obsolescence here which is a staple of big companies these days.
No it's because it's big. A Check Valve takes up the space of one loop.
@@SuwinTzi nah, it can be shortened. This is just an example.

В какой-то момент вода в завитках встанет и перестанет препятствовать потоку
Yeah cause it's barely a valve
because it does not work
yes it does though it might not do the job you want.
Paradox
no, physics
