- Richmond had to dig deep to brush off a courageous Carlton comeback, holding on to claim a 33-point victory in Thursday night's season opener. However, a suspected knee injury to Alex Rance left a bitter taste for the 2017 premiers.

This is the first game I had ever watched live. Still remember it like it was yesterday. It's part of the reason I'm a Carlton supporter.
Just round 1 but really hope they can stop spoiling the result in the title.

I don't see how it gives it away....? That injury would sour any result. It's soured the entire round if not season mate. Best full back of the modern era won't be playing this season.

Both teams played well, Blues did incredibly well not to give up and have shown plenty of promise with the team.

He looks more bulkier and mature but seems to have lost his speed and agility doesn’t seem as mobile

Tigers win onfield and outnumber the Blues in the stands in a Carlton home game. Modern Richmond is just HUGE.

@@rocketrod1444 Don't wallow in the past Hugh. You have no AFL era flags won without rorting the salary cap. Tigers are huge. Pies in GF last year but we are tens of thousands ahead of them in memberships. We outnumbered you in your home game and are scores of thousands ahead in memberships. Things move quickly now and the Tiger's roar is the loudest in the jungle now.
Not too sure if you outnumbered us, pretty even I reckon. Yeah you have more members but we now have 57000 on the back of a 2win season, wouldn’t of thought many teams could do that. Anyway, we play for premierships not total members but good luck to the Tiges , they’re good to watch.
I might also add that the Pies showed you blokes who were the loudest on Prelim night, they’re still the biggest.

donny barnett idk if you know the new rules mate, but you are aloud hands in the back to assert strength but you can’t shove out so what you see is playing holding there ground and pushing off and it’s not a shove so it’s legal
