This channel is part of the International Association of Facial Growth Guidance. A nonprofit organisation which aims to raise awareness of alternative orthodontic methods and ideas, which too few people are informed of.
The main aim of the platform is to precipitate debate on why teeth are crooked. Most people are not aware that (in most cases) the dental profession has little or no idea why the teeth are crooked, or for that matter why children need major surgery. Clearly there are genetic issues, however the science is clear, the weight of quality research papers, in respected peer reviewed journals, show that our modern lifestyle is a more important factor and most importantly we can do something about this.
This is especially important as sleep apnoea, TMD, forward head posture and a most otolaryngology problems are implicated as other symptoms of the same underlying problem.

I’m an Oral Health Therapist and previously worked for an Orthodontist who actually asked me to stop educating patients on the importance of nasal breathing and correct tongue posture. It was quite shocking. You could imagine the relapse at that clinic was out of control. Diastemas we’re opening up from tongue thrusts (even with fixed lingual retainers), anterior and posterior open bites were relapsing and dental arches were collapsing to the point where removable retainers would no longer fit unless worn constantly. The Australian Society of Orthodontics website says “Your orthodontist is often the first person to identify airway and breathing problems” but in my experience working for multiple Australian Orthodontists, breathing is not evaluated at all.
I’m very lucky to report that I now work for a wonderful Orthodontist that supports Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and how it can improve an individuals orthodontic journey and also their general health. We appreciate everything you have done and how you continue to improve this important field. Loving the mewing app too BTW ❤️

I wish this were the case but I can confirm he’s on complete legal obligation to not disclose anything during this part of the trial. He’ll certainly catch everyone up the instant it’s over and he’s free.
