Last night, the PS22 Chorus had the privilege of introducing Lady Gaga as she accepted her Glamour Woman of the Year Award at Carnegie Hall! For the occasion, we put together a vocal arrangement mashing up some of her biggest hits, including "Just Dance", "Paparazzi", "Edge of Glory" and "Applause!" Lady Gaga was moved to tears and sang her praises to the kids for the incredible job they did!
Big thanks to Joe Baker and his producers for preparing the instrumental track to back the vocal arrangement we created! Also thanks to Jen Weinberg, Leane Romeo, Karen Carpenter, and all the people at Glamour for their respective parts in making this a moment all of us will never forget!

The PS22 conductor Gregg Breinberg is a rolemodel for me as a musicteacher and writer of lyrics. His work is astounding.
The other wonderful thing about his work is that he teaches the children to sing the meaning of the word and not the sound, the note. That's why he has them gesturing. This way they focus on the message and that gives the sound a different texture, something all of us could relate to.

some people started laughing thinking this is cute... and then they realized this is seriously good, i must shut up and pay attention.
I think that was a movement by Mr B. that started the laughter. what they did was hard when you have two groups singing different songs at the same time
I thought they were laughing bc they are singing about drunk stumbling through a club lol

It's cool to hear the natural harmonies and to see the JOY and LOVE of these great 5th graders!

These kids are like half my age and singing counterpoint harony. Impressive.
At :22 the audience starts laughing, thinking, “There cute.” Then, the audience becomes aware of their true talent and PASSION! I wish more people truly FELT their music like PS 22!

WOW, that was incredible!! for a group of 10 year old's to master something this hard. They had alto's singing Paparazi, and soprano's singing edge of glory. at the same time, that takes a lot of concentration. Starting with Just dance and ending with the last line of Just dance. Only thing is what was with Lady Gaga?? She's known for her weird outfits but this. it looks like her hair was standing on end

I love how The Edge and Paparazzi sounded so good together and that Applause though!!!!! OMG!!! And I wasn’t even expecting Lady Gaga to actually appear!!!!
This us not your normal chorus.... they did start laughing thing it was super cute. Then you can't do anything but understand how incredibly talented this entire team is. Shuts you up quick..... watching over the last few hours of this team. They captivate you..

Wow - PS22 Chorus with Lady GAGA was just on FOX News at 4:45 PM. After watching this video several times it is evident that, in this case, Gregg is more of a cheerleader than a director, in a very positive way. He is leading, and the Chorus is cheering for Lady GAGA. How sweet!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their rolling in the Deep video gave me the chills. It makes MY singing of rolling in the deep sound like a dying cow :)
I love how they get so into it and move with the music, and the hand movements correspond wonderfully. Too bad so many other choruses - kid or adult - adhere to a rigid and strict "DON'T MOVE WHILE SINGING!" regimen. We need to adopt a feeling of loose while singing. They have so much fun, I love it!
