I'd been wanting to work with Jay Jay for a while and was very excited when my mother made that happen. Special thank you to Brooke Napier for cleaning and pushing me. It felt amazing to perform such an emotional piece, and it would not have come together with you, Ms. Brooke!
I was feeling a very strong connection to this dance and knew I needed to put it on stage. When I asked my mom about it, she said NUVO's schedule is already set, your costume isn't ready, you're not supposed to put it on stage until January, and a couple other reasons. I understood, but mom saw that look in my eye, and it was super mom to the rescue!!!! She pulled it all together! After I got off stage, she said what God has for you He has for you, and no one can take it away. At the last minute, with new choreo, and in a borrowed recycled costume, this moment was more perfect than if you had been planning it for months. I wasn't really following what she was saying, but I'm so happy she did this for me!
