I think the warriors can still be a threat as this is the best time for Kuminga and Podziemski. If somehow Klay manage to be streaky, it's gonna be interesting to see. The problem with Chuck's reasoning is that if they get to the playoffs through the playin that series the he thinks they could win will be against the 1 or 2 seed. If that's done the wcf become a very real possibility.
It’s all about the rosters finally being healthy and coming into form toward the end of the season. Both teams are dangerous in a 7 game series if healthy.
To teams like OKC and Sarcamento, Nuggets are still the team to beat.

@@nekosmith2800 Cause the warriors had problems with draymond + cp3 not playing + lineup management. They also lost a ton of close games and the first half of their schedule was one of the hardest. It's why they're climbing the ladder fast right now.

I do agree with Chuck about the worrying aspect. I wonder, do professional players worry about other teams, especially at this point in the season? Does that mean they have nightmares at night about them? Or they mistake the guy they're guarding for Curry or James? Or do they just talk amongst themselves about how they can avoid playing this or that team in the playoffs? I don't see it. You worry about the team you're facing that day, or that playoff series, and then we'll see what happens, right? On the other hand, if you say they can win a series, then how can you say they can't win another series to reach he confence finals?
Teams do try to shave games to avoid matching up with certain teams closer to playoff time. Clippers blatantly did this a few yrs back and was called out for it. Ull notice the jockeying closer to playoffs. I can guarantee Lakers/Warriors would rather take on Wolves n OKC than Denver 1st round.

Huh? No team is worried about who makes the conference finals, they are worried about the team in front of them. If you're an inexperienced playoff team in Minnesota or OKC, the top teams by the way, you don't want to see Lakers but especially Warriors in the first round, they have playoff/finals experience and could easily win against the 'deer in the headlights' teams with inexperience.

Come playoff time only one of the top 5 teams are favored to win the championship. Minnesota, OKC, LA Clippers and Phoenix all have flaws. Lakers and Warriors can beat any of those teams easily. Denver is top dog for a reason. They have a balance team and a bonified super star. Lakers and Warriors can definitely make it to the WCF.

OKC and Minny won't beat the Lakers. The History of Lebron shows that if you're gonna beat him in a playoff series, you need an experienced championship caliber team with one or more superstars; Nuggets with Jokic, Warriors with KD/Steph, Spurs with Tim/Manu/Tony, Dallas with Dirk, Boston Big 3. OKC and Minny have both never won a playoff series. OKC is inexperienced and Minny is prone to collapsing. Ant and SGA are gonna have to look Lebron in the eyes, ascend to superstay level play and outplay him for them to win. Lebron also has no problem winning a game 7 on the road, he's won his last six game 7's and he's impeccable in them.

All that matters is how you play when it is the playoffs. The Warriors are not playing like they did earlier in the season. Warriors have won 10 of their last 12 games. Klay is starting to hit shots. They just got back Chris Paul, and Payton II, and Draymond was not playing in the first half when they were losing. They probably won't beat the Nuggets or Timberwolves but I wouldn't say they have no chance.
