Doing these movements is harder then it looks it is all about isolations of the body and how centers connect and how strong your core is.

I feel like this routine was supposed to be performed at a low scale dance recital...
The synchronization and the overall feeling of this adaptation is very, very different from Liza with a Z, which is a little strange, because I thought the Fosse revue was supposed to celebrate the spirit of 'Fosse.'
In the "Liza" version, every single dancer seemed to move with a purpose, and they had a little flair with the little subtle steps. In this one, I just don't feel the energy coming from the dancers or singers =/

Although it would be difficult to categorize this one as elevator music - one might not ever want to hear this recording ever again.

I'm doing this song for my dance class our dance is similar that but better ours is a lot better I mean a lot better
for those of us who saw the original production of this on broadway, you know this is a total embarrassment. not to discount mr. vereen, but he was way too old and out of shape to be involved with this, and certainly to try and dance anything "fosse"! not sure why reinking allowed this to happen, as the stage production was without flaw. yet, this was what was preserved on film! go figure!!!!!
I think the reason why this one was recorded was because Ben was in it. While I don't think he's bad I just think some of the numbers weren't for him. He's much better in Razzle Dazzle and the Glory than right here.
romanaskas west I'm going to assume you didn't see the video or know what and why it was done , I have it and he even says he is way old for it but this video was a tribute to bob fosse and as his original student he was doing some of this . Knowing the story might help you not look like an idiot.
yes of course i've seen the video(though that does not make it any better) duh!!! if i had not, i would not have seen ben, as he was not in the broadway production, which i assume you did not see. doesn't matter the reason or excuse about which you blubber so passionately, the broadway staging was brilliant, this is far, far from it. yet this is the one preserved to film, go figure.......
